COACH TEX: The Personal Trainer You Didn't Know You Needed 🐾

Tex has officially settled into his foster home and has taken on a brand-new role: Head of Fitness. 🏋️‍♂️

If you’re looking to hit your fitness goals, Coach Tex is here to help!

He’s a little heavy on the heavy breathing, and his motivational speeches sound a lot like snores, but he’s got spirit!

🌟Client Review: "10/10. He drooled on my yoga mat, but his emotional support during my plank was unmatched."

At 8 years young, Tex is a big, goofy guy with plenty of love (and fitness tips) to give! He will be ready for his permanent gym partner soon! Visit bullies2therescue.com to learn more about our adoption process and to apply. 💙

📍Bullies 2 the Rescue is located in NC. We do adopt out of state, but adopters must come to us for pickup. We do not ship or transport our dogs.

Charlie’s running by to say hello! 🐾 This very good boy is settling into his new foster home and is currently taking some vital time to decompress.

Unfamiliar with decompression? It’s a literal lifesaver for rescue dogs (and their humans!).

When you bring a rescue home, you aren’t just bringing home a pet; you’re welcoming a soul that has likely been in "survival mode." Whether they were in a loud shelter or had a difficult past, their adrenaline and cortisol levels are peaking.

Decompression is the "buffer zone" that allows those stress hormones to fade. Without it, a dog may react out of fear or exhaustion. And it’s not because they are "bad," but because their brain is overwhelmed. Giving them this time prevents burnout and builds a permanent foundation of trust.

To navigate this journey, we use the 3-3-3 Rule:

🕒 The 3-3-3 Rule
3 Days: Feeling OverwhelmedIn the first 72 hours, a dog may be "shut down," hiding, or refusing to eat. They are processing a total world shift. The Mission: Peace, quiet, and zero pressure.

3 Weeks: Settling InAs they realize they are safe, their true personality starts to peek out. You’ll see more energy (and maybe some boundary-testing!).The Mission: Establish a predictable routine so they know what to expect.

3 Months: Building TrustBy now, "survival mode" has finally switched off. Your dog feels a sense of belonging and realizes they are finally home. The Mission: Deepen your bond and continue positive reinforcement.

❤️Remember: You can’t rush a relationship. By respecting the decompression period, you’re telling your rescue dog: "I hear you, I see you, and you are safe here."

🧈🫘 How has she not been adopted yet? Meet Butterbean!

This 6-month-old, 26-pound dynamo is a bundle of energy, curiosity, and just a hint of “what have I gotten myself into?”—in the best way possible! 🐾

Butterbean is a playful, happy pup who’s still mastering her manners and learning not to use her mouth as her primary communication tool (we’re getting there!) 😅 She’s nippy, silly, and wild—basically, the definition of a fun puppy needing guidance and structure.

Butterbean is:
🐶 Great with dogs (she actually needs them!)
🐱 Good with cats and kids
⚡ FULL of play energy!

🏡 Her ideal home?
- One with other dogs who LOVE to wrestle, chase, and match her energy.
- Owners who understand that puppies need training, consistency, and patience.
- Not a home with low-energy or older dogs… unless they enjoy being lovingly harassed 24/7!

Butterbean isn’t trying to be a menace; she just hasn’t gotten the memo yet on how to tone it down. With the right home, she’ll grow into an incredibly fun, loyal, and entertaining companion.

If you’re searching for a calm, quiet dog… keep scrolling. But if you’re ready for a hilarious, high-energy sidekick who will keep you on your toes and make you laugh every day… Butterbean is your girl! 💖

Butterbean posted. Can one of you add this to the fb post

Yay! It’s Friday Jr! 🐾

If your ideal Friday night involves a cozy blanket and zero "extrovert" energy, Daisy is your girl.

Daisy is the ultimate homebody. She’s not looking for a chaotic hiking trip or a loud dog park—she just wants to be wherever you are. Whether you’re catching up on a book or bingeing that new series, Daisy is the soft, quiet presence that makes a house feel like a home.

This 6 year old girl is the "unicorn" of dogs: she rarely barks, walks beautifully on a leash, and is perfectly happy just being near you. She’s not looking for chaos or high-energy adventures; she just wants to be the soft presence in the room while you live your life.

More reasons why Daisy is your perfect match:
🤩Low Drama: House trained, crate trained, and car-ride approved.
🥰Pure Affection: Loves snuggles and scratches without being demanding.
🧘Calm & Steady: Great with other dogs and respectful of cats.

Daisy is loyal, sweet, and ready to settle into your daily rhythm. Whether you work from home or just love a long evening on the couch, Daisy is ready to be your steady, silent cheerleader.

Just checking in with our favorite 26-lb bundle of joy, Penny! She’s been busy living her best life, which mostly involves zoomies in the yard and making sure every dog that walks past the house knows she’s the boss. 🗣️🏠

Don't let that "severe heart condition" in her bio fool you; this girl has plenty of spark! While she does take her meds twice a day like a total champ, she doesn’t let it slow down her play sessions or her search for the perfect snuggle spot.

What’s Next for Penny?
* The Routine: She’s staying pampered and medicated to keep that heart ticking perfectly.
* The Big Date: She has a cardiologist consult coming up in June. We’ll get a full report then, but for now, she’s thriving!
* The Vibe: Playful, energetic, and 100% "typical Frenchie."

Penny is still looking for that forever family who can keep up with her meds and her spirit. In exchange, she offers expert-level car ride companionship and more loyalty than you’ll know what to do with.

Could you be Penny’s person? ✨

After eight years by her dad’s side, everything changed when his declining health forced him into assisted living across the country. Suddenly, Missy lost the only life she had ever known. She spent weeks waiting in a veterinary clinic, confused, grieving, and missing her person.

But even through the sadness, Missy never stopped loving.

She leaned into every hand for scratches, wagged her little nub with hope, and slowly began to trust that maybe life could feel safe again. Her foster family saw the beautiful soul behind her heartbreak and gave her the time, patience, and love she needed to heal.

And somewhere along the way, she became home to them too.

Missy has officially been adopted by her foster family.

After losing everything familiar, she found forever again — a couch to snuggle on, people to adore her, endless b***y scritches, and a family who loves her exactly as she is.

Some dogs leave paw prints on your heart immediately. Missy is one of those dogs.

Happy forever, sweet girl. 🩷💕✨
