Power Of The Pack: Women Who Support Women Are More Successful

Supporting West Ashley is looking for small business owners who work in West Ashley or commute to West Ashley; and focus on conception, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, or pediatrics.

Our goal is to create authentic relationships with each other and collaborate for care in West Ashley. We have 7 founding members dedicated to SWA's vision and mission for West Ashley families and are looking to expand our group this spring!

We need to reverse the stereotype that women don’t support other women. There is research that shows women in particular benefit from collaboration over competition. Here is advice from women leaders on how to find and cultivate a close network of female professionals.

West Ashley Birth Professional's has outgrown it's name and vision in just a short 6 months.

Supporting West Ashley is proving to live up to it's name as we welcome mother and baby professionals to create authentic relationships with each other, and provide collaborative care for the families of West Ashley.

We have several events already lining up for the first half of 2019, and meetings scheduled to add breastfeeding and childbirth education classes soon.

Please help me welcome 5 founding members. They believed in my vision before I even had the website launched. Tarah Herrington, Well Rounded Healing; Selena Stoney, Selena Stoney Photography; Karilyn Casperon, birth doula; Linda Merli, Lowcountry Lactation Station; Courtney Olson, postpartum doula; and myself, Danica Todd, prenatal massage and birth doula.

Stay tuned for excited updates to classes and events, as well as an announcement for the official launch to join as a member and/or sponsor.

Supporting West Ashley is hitting the ground running. We asked a small focus group to hear our vision and goals for West Ashley and they LOVED it! We had an 84% conversion rate invested in the build out of the website and laying down the nuts and bolts to become and official business. Stay tuned for our official launch and events. We already have 2 in house events and 2 sponsored events by July!
