So some great summer professional development for me and our theatre director, Kyle Chesney is in the works! We’ll be spending a week in New York City learning directing/acting/technical theater techniques as applies to college educators directly from Broadway Professionals! All of this so we can bring our students at NCCC some great real world experiences in theater and musical theater to our new Mih Family Fine Arts Center opening this fall at NCCC CHANUTE! BIG congratulations to our own Kerrie Coomes, Dean of Student Services at Neosho County Community College, for receiving the Phi Theta Kappa Distinguished College Administrator Award.

This prestigious national recognition celebrates administrators who champion student success, remove barriers, and create meaningful opportunities for growth. Kerrie was nominated by student leaders and selected from among thousands of administrators across the country.
