Survivors talk about the abuse. Abusers talk about the Survivor.

There’s a difference.

Survivors talk about what happened to them—the fear, the manipulation, the control, the isolation, the violence, and the barriers that kept them trapped.

Abusers talk about the Survivor—their character, their choices, their parenting, their behavior, their mental health, or anything else that shifts attention away from their own actions.

Why? Because accountability is uncomfortable.

When someone spends more time attacking the person telling the story than addressing the behavior being described, pay attention.

Believe patterns. Look at actions. Listen to what is being said.

And remember: The abuse is the abuser’s responsibility. The abuse is the choice the abuser made. Always.

Control Alt Delete facilitated 2,398 escapes from domestic violence in August 2026 that included 4,508 children and 955 pets ~ who are all now safe 💜

In August 2026 there were 169 elderly escapes and 110 Veterans.

Arizona is the key element in these escapes. Survivors are escaping their abuser and staying in Arizona, they are coming to Arizona from other states or they are fleeing to other states to reach their safety.

Donations from our community made these escapes possible and with your support we will continue to bridge the gap in services while creating a Society of Survivors 💜

🚨 “But they’re a good parent!” 🚨

No. No, they are not.

You cannot be a good parent while abusing the other parent. Ever.

Children don’t just experience the abuse when it is directed at them. They experience it when they watch their parent being threatened, controlled, humiliated, isolated, manipulated, or harmed. They experience the fear. They experience the instability. They learn what relationships are supposed to look like by watching the adults around them.

Being a good parent isn't just about being nice (or appearing to be nice) to your children. It’s about creating a home where everyone is safe, respected, and free from abuse.

A parent who abuses the other parent is teaching their children that:
❌ Control is love.
❌ Fear is normal.
❌ Abuse is acceptable.
❌ Hurting someone you claim to love has no consequences.

You don't get to separate “good parent” from “abuser” when the abuse is happening in the family.

Children deserve more than a parent who is nice to them while terrorizing the person who raises them.

They deserve SAFETY.
They deserve PEACE.
They deserve to see healthy relationships modeled for them. ❤️

And Survivors deserve to be believed when they say, “This is not safe.”
