Here's to the dads, the father figures, and the everyday heroes. 💙

Happy Father's Day from all of us at the Chandler Compadres.

Today we celebrate the men who show up — the ones who coach the team, fix the bike, listen after a hard day, and quietly teach the lessons that shape a child's whole life. Being there matters more than they often realize.

We see that same spirit in the work we do across the East Valley. So many of the men in our community pour their time, heart, and energy into mentoring local youth and standing beside kids who need someone in their corner. That kind of presence builds confidence, opens doors, and changes futures.

To every father, grandfather, uncle, mentor, and role model out there: thank you. The way you guide the next generation makes our whole community stronger.

Ten years. Ten records. One incredible community. 💙

We're proud to share that this year's Give Day reached an all-time high — $2.9 million distributed to nonprofits serving children and families across the East Valley. It's the largest distribution in our 45-year history and our 10th consecutive record-breaking year.

Since 1980, our total giving has reached more than $21 million.

As President Eric Petrie said it best: "This remarkable fundraising achievement is the result of generous and growing donor support, along with the hard work of more than 100 active and life members who plan and host a variety of events throughout the year. We had a record-breaking year at the golf party and Rock the Cause for Kids, which allowed us to help even more children in need."

To every member, donor, and partner who made this possible — thank you. This is what community looks like.

Ask Kurt Johansen why he does it, and he won't hesitate.

Fifteen years ago, Kurt became a life member of the Chandler Compadres. What he didn't realize then was how much the organization would shape his view of community, generosity, and what it really means to show up for kids.

As SVP/Group Manager at Enterprise Bank & Trust, Kurt knows the value of investing in people. That's part of why he's so passionate about the Compadres' mission. Over the years, he's watched the organization pour support into local youth programs across the East Valley — mentorship, safe spaces, academic help, and real opportunities for kids who just need someone in their corner. And every year, he's reminded that the impact is bigger than any one person.

For Kurt, being a Compadre isn't something to check off a list. It's something he's proud of every single year.

We made the news, and we couldn't be prouder of what this community accomplished together.

This year's Give Day marked the largest donation event in our history — nearly $3 million distributed to local youth charities across the East Valley.

None of this happens alone. More than 100 active and life members came together to make this milestone possible, proving once again what dedicated people can build when they invest in the next generation.

A child’s confidence can change when the right support shows up at the right time.

Here’s an example of the kind of impact local youth programs can have:

A parent notices their child has been struggling in school and pulling away from activities they used to enjoy. Homework feels overwhelming. Confidence is low. The parent wants to help, but between work, family responsibilities, and daily stress, they need extra support.

Then their child joins a local youth program.

With patient academic help, encouragement from a caring mentor, and a safe place to connect with other kids, things begin to shift. The child starts raising their hand more. They feel proud of small wins. They begin to believe, “I can do this.”

And for the parent? There is peace of mind knowing their child is supported, encouraged, and surrounded by people who care.

What a day. We're still smiling. ☀️

Yesterday was GIVE Day, and the energy hasn't worn off yet. Handing checks to the amazing organizations from ASK Day was everything we hoped it would be — full of cheers, happy tears, and that good kind of buzz that sticks with you.
