Children’s Cancer Network’s Parent Date Night is back on Friday 6/26!

Caring for a child with cancer can be emotionally and physically demanding, Parent Date Night aims to provide parents with a chance to focus on their relationship and well-being.

CCN will provide parents with a $50 visa gift card for a date night when they drop off their fighter and siblings at the Let’s Move Center here at CCN at 6pm. The kids will be fed dinner, play games, and make crafts while you are out. Parents will pick up the kiddos at 8pm!

If you have attended Parent Date Night, we will keep you on a waitlist to allow new families to receive the same opportunity. SPACE IS LIMITED.

Every donation helps a child start school feeling confident and prepared. Thank you for making a difference!

For many families facing childhood cancer, “back to school” doesn’t just mean new teachers and school supplies. It means balancing hospital visits, treatments, emotional exhaustion, and growing financial strain.

As we wrap up our final Bat Cave experience until the fall, we're reflecting on the incredible memories created for our families.🎗️

The impact of the Bat Cave is best described by one of our moms:

"For us, it was an escape from reality for a bit. Beginning with the limo ride, the kids were so excited because they'd never been in a limo before. While we were at the Bat Cave, I just felt the love behind it. Everyone was so nice and understanding of what we are going through. Giving back to the organizations that helped us was an awesome touch."

💛 Carter's Food Drive Comes at the Perfect Time🦥

If you know Carter, you know two things: he loves sloths, and he has a huge heart. While navigating childhood cancer, 8-year-old Carter recently set out to help other families facing similar challenges. With support from Polaris Academy and Starlight Behavior Academy, he organized a food drive benefiting our Food Pantry.

The response was incredible.
Boxes and bags of food filled the back of a truck, arriving just in time for one of our busiest weeks at the pantry. We currently serve approximately 35 families each month, and that number continues to grow. As more families turn to us for support, donations like Carter's help ensure our shelves stay stocked with the essentials families need.

Carter knows firsthand how difficult a childhood cancer diagnosis can be for an entire family. Yet instead of focusing only on what he's facing, he chose to help others facing it too. We're incredibly grateful to Carter, his family, and everyone at Polaris Academy and Starlight Behavior Academy who helped make this food drive possible. Your generosity will impact families battling childhood cancer throughout our community. 🎗️

Healthy habits start at home too 💛

One of our amazing cancer warriors just completed and turned in their Let’s Move Center Activity Checker and picked up their prize from CCN! We love seeing kids continue healthy movement, play, and activity at home in addition to participating in CCN programs.

The goal of our Activity Checkers is not just earning a prize. It is helping kids build confidence, healthy habits, and positive movement routines they can continue outside of CCN programming. Every walk, stretch, game, dance break, or active moment counts!

Families, if you have not picked up an Activity Checker yet, we would love for you to participate! Email [email protected] to grab one from CCN and join the fun. We cannot wait to celebrate more completed checkers this summer!☀️💛
