A bed. Sheets. Pillows. A roof overhead.

A bedroom in Haiti might look different from yours, but there are familiar things here, too. The difference is in what you don’t see.

When the sheets get dirty, there isn't another set to change them out. When a guest comes to stay, there isn't an extra pillow to offer. When something wears out, replacing isn't an option.

This is the full picture. A real person, working hard each day to care for their family and make a life with what they have. Not because they have everything they need, but because they keep going with what’s available to them.

Sometimes, it’s the everyday things we take for granted that remind us how much our circumstances shape our lives.

What a night to remember!

On Saturday, we gathered to celebrate 20 years of God’s faithfulness to Healing Haiti and the lives He has transformed along the way.

From the early days of bringing clean water to families in Haiti to the work happening today through local churches, education, job creation, and medical care, we’ve seen God work through so many faithful people to bring hope to families and communities.

To everyone who has prayed, served, given, and walked alongside us over the years: thank you for being part of this story. We are so grateful for all God has done, and we look forward with anticipation to all He will continue to do in Haiti.

Here’s to the next 20 years! ❤️🤍

The future of Haiti depends on these kids. The hope of Haiti depends on these kids.

That is why we are investing in them. Providing them with the resources they need to survive. But we don’t want them to simply get by. We want them to thrive. We want them to grow up excited about their future.

It’s not fair.

It’s not fair that so many children are born into a world where access to basic resources and opportunities is limited.

But that’s why we fight.

We fight so families have access to church, education, food, clean water, medical care, and hope they need to thrive.

Do you ever wake up in the morning and wonder, “Will I have a meal to eat today?”

Probably not. For many of us, food is simply part of our daily routine. We open the fridge, grab something to eat, and rarely have to think twice about where our next meal will come from.

But for thousands of families in Haiti, that uncertainty is a daily reality.

At Healing Haiti, we believe no family should have to wonder where their next meal will come from. That’s why we work every day to provide essential resources, create opportunities, and walk alongside families as they build a brighter future.

Meet Alicia!

She took her first short-term trip with Healing Haiti in October 2016, never having been on a plane or knowing anyone on the team, but trusting that God was leading her.

That first trip became six years of living and serving in Haiti. During her time, Alicia served as a Guesthouse Missionary, helped launch Hope Clinic, and now serves as Healing Haiti’s Sponsorship Missionary.

Today, Alicia still considers Haiti home and hopes to return. As she reflects on her journey, she says, “It wasn’t my plan, it was God’s, and He deserves all of the glory.”

We’re grateful for Alicia’s heart for Haiti and the ways God continues to use her story to make an impact through Healing Haiti. ❤️

What great hope we have in Jesus. This life is not our eternity. Because of Him, we look forward to a day when every tear will be wiped away, every pain will cease, and all things will be made new.
