We had an awesome start to the season yesterday! It was great to see most families and get equipment, ski bibs, and ski for fun bags handed out. Thanks to the Level 2 and 3 coaching teams for taking some of our skiers out on the trail!

❄️We still need coaches for Levels 1 and 4 before next Saturday 1/6! ❄️ Please consider coaching and reach out with questions. I’ll send an email to everyone with coaching updates and other info for the season soon.

Elm Creek is CLOSING ALL WINTER RECREATION AREA ACTIVITIES AND BUILDINGS at 6PM on New Years Eve in order to take full advantage of the cold snow making temperatures. Please stay off all cross country trails and keep clear of the winter recreation area after 6PM.
The cross country trail will be CLOSED all of New Years Day, 1/1/2024 so that we can make more snow and work on rebuilding the trails.

Registration for Loppet ski lessons and ski club open tomorrow. Parents, I highly recommend their ski training. I’ve taken multiple group lessons that really helped improve my ski technique.

Winter Registration opens on Sunday, October 1! Get ready to celebrate the winter Loppet style with programming, events like the City of Lakes Loppet and the Luminary Loppet (also our largest fundraiser of the year!), and hitting the trail with your ski passes.

The 2023-24 ski season will be starting soon! I’m looking forward to seeing new and returning MYXC Elm Creek Saturday skiers and families. I don’t know exact dates for registration but expect it to open up sometime in October. Remember, volunteers get to register first and get first access to our limited supply or classic rental equipment. Our most needed volunteer role is coaches!
