We had an amazing time attending the Arbor Day event at Slater Memorial Park in Pawtucket, RI! 🌳

It was inspiring to see so many communities recognized for their dedication to planting, caring for, and preserving trees. These efforts truly make a difference in keeping our neighborhoods vibrant, healthy, and full of life.

We were especially excited to take part in planting a red maple tree—Rhode Island’s state tree! Being hands-on in something that will grow and thrive for years to come made the day even more meaningful.

It was also great to see so many people come out in support, including Mayor Donald Grebian and Mayor Daniel McKee. Events like this highlight what’s possible when communities come together with a shared purpose.

We’re so grateful for programs like the Rhode Island Tree Council that continue to invest in the beauty and health of the Blackstone Valley and our entire state. 💚

As the winter snow melts and the rain pours down, the Blackstone River is roaring to life 🌊 But with recent windstorms, we’re also seeing something else carried along with it—trash making its way straight into the river.

All that litter doesn’t just disappear. It harms wildlife, pollutes the water, and takes away from the natural beauty we love so much here in the . We’re already seeing it pile up at the Central Falls Landing dock.

The good news? This is something we can all help prevent. Make sure your trash makes it into a can—not the street—so it doesn’t end up where it doesn’t belong. Small actions every day can make a big difference in protecting our river and our planet. 🌎

Thank you everyone! I had been doing a lot of cleanups over the last year, and was shocked how quickly the litter and dumping would pile back up after some of our cleanups. It's great to have this infrastructure passively working night and day (with the help of the hardworking folks who clean it out). A win for the river!

Hey everyone! We are continuing our cleanup of Moshassuck Industrial Highway on the Lincoln/Pawtucket line. There is a ditch with an unbelievable amount of consumer plastic waste (mostly beverage bottles) and it is ghastly! We will be teaming up with Cozy Rhody and NETTTS, and I hope to see you there! Let's hang out and together!!!
