⚾️🇺🇸 CENTRAL FALLS YOUTH BASEBALL NEEDS YOU! 🇺🇸⚾️

YEAR #7 — LET’S MAKE IT OUR BEST YEAR YET!

As we prepare for our 7th year of Central Falls Youth Baseball, we’re looking for dedicated community members, parents, and volunteers who want to make a difference in the lives of our kids!

Since day one, our mission has been simple: provide FREE baseball to the children of Central Falls, Pawtucket, añd Cumberland residents regardless of their family’s financial situation. We want every child to have the opportunity to learn the game, build friendships, develop confidence, and be part of something positive.

But we can’t do it alone!

⚾ WE NEED COACHES FOR ALL AGE GROUPS!

🔴 T-Ball: Ages 4–6

🔵 Rookies: Coach Pitch, Ages 7–9

🔴 Minors: Kid Pitch, Ages 7–10

🔵 Majors: Kid Pitch, Ages 10–12

🔴 Babe Ruth: Ages 13–16

You don’t need to be a professional coach! We’re looking for people who are dependable, patient, positive, and willing to help our young athletes learn and grow.

✅ COACHING REQUIREMENTS:

All coaches and volunteers working directly with our players must:

* Pass a clean BCI (criminal background check).
* Complete all required online coaching certification and training classes.
* Follow league safety policies and our expectations for positive youth development.
* Be committed to creating a safe, respectful, and encouraging environment for every child.

📋 WE ALSO HAVE OPEN BOARD POSITIONS!

We’re looking for community members interested in helping with field operations, fundraising, sponsorships, equipment, concessions, player development, and league administration.

2026–2027 Leadership:

President: Thomas Evans

Vice President: Gina Silva

All remaining board positions are currently open for interested volunteers!

❤️ THIS IS ABOUT MORE THAN BASEBALL!

We’re entering year seven because people in our community have continued to believe in what we’re building. We have some amazing families and children who deserve a program they can be proud of.

I want to see more parents involved, more community members stepping up, and more people taking ownership in something that belongs to the kids of Central Falls.

Whether you can coach a team, serve on our board, help maintain our fields, or volunteer a few hours, your time can make a real difference.

📩 Interested in coaching, joining the board, or volunteering? Send us a message!

Let’s keep baseball FREE and continue building something special for our kids!

🥊 Coach Tom! 🥊

It was 2007 when he first stepped into the ring. Nearly 20 years later, he knows Father Time waits for nobody.

On December 12, 2026, he will compete in combat sports one final time at the House of Blues in Boston, right in front of Fenway Park. He wants to finish this journey the same way he started it — fighting for the kids in this city!

I hope you’ll come celebrate this last one with him!.

2007 → 2026
One last camp. One last walk. One last fight.

Father Time… just keep him safe and healthy until that final bell. 🥊🙏

So happy for her!!

🎓 WARRIOR FULL CIRCLE: DESIREE DELGADO-PEDRAZA 💙❤️

Some stories have a way of bringing us right back to where it all began.

For Desiree Delgado-Pedraza, that place is Central Falls.

Desiree grew up with a deep love for the Central Falls community and joined the Central Falls School District as a sixth-grade student at Calcutt Middle School in 2015. From those middle school hallways, she continued her journey through CFSD and went on to graduate from Central Falls High School in 2022, where she distinguished herself as one of the top students in her graduating class.

But her Warrior story was only getting started.

After graduation, Desiree attended Rhode Island College (RIC), pursuing Secondary Education with a focus in General Science. Along the way, she continued investing in young people and in the community that helped shape her.

She served as a Learning Pod Mentor with CFSD, became a Teaching Fellow with Generation Teach, mentored multilingual middle school students through Onward We Learn, and later served the City of Central Falls, RI as Director of Community Engagement for Education Strategy.

She also continued giving back outside the classroom. Since 2024, Desiree has served as Director of T-Ball and a T-Ball Coach with the Central Falls Youth Baseball, helping create opportunities and memories for another generation of Central Falls children.

And now comes the full-circle moment. 💙

On Monday, Desiree begins a new chapter — returning to the Central Falls School District as a science teacher at Dr. Earl F. Calcutt Middle School.

The same school district that welcomed her as a sixth grader will now welcome her as an educator.

From student → graduate → mentor → community leader → teacher.

Desiree is passionate, talented, deeply connected to her community, and an example of what it means to carry your Warrior pride with you wherever life takes you.

And her story has inspired us to ask:

📍 WHERE ARE OUR WARRIORS NOW?

We know there are CFSD alumni everywhere — teaching, creating, leading, serving, building businesses, raising families, pursuing degrees, and making a difference in Central Falls and far beyond.

We want to find you. We want to hear your story. And we want our students to see where a Warrior journey can lead.

Are you a CFSD alum? Do you know a Warrior doing something we should celebrate?

🏷️ Tag us and tell us where our Warriors are now!

You can also send your Warrior story to [email protected] for an opportunity to be featured.

Once a Warrior, always a Warrior. 💙❤️

Welcome home, Desiree. Your next chapter begins where so much of your story was written.
