Blossom IDD is a place where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) can receive the resources they need to live a full, independent life in the community. Our programming aims to:
Create Community Connections: We integrate our members into their local communities through group activities, including exploring local events, restaurants, and shops in a supportive environment.
Advocate and Share Resources: We help individuals and families navigate available resources, understand related costs, access services, and determine the best steps forward. Design Accessible Travel: We create travel opportunities for individuals with IDD, fostering growth and independence through transformative experiences that they may not otherwise access without their families. Collaborate on Life Planning: We assist in developing comprehensive life plans covering physical and emotional well-being, employment, social justice, housing, and more, offering direction and guidance for a fulfilling life. Blossom IDD’s programming and services are designed to provide opportunities to address common issues faced by this population while at the same time allowing flexibility for individuals to set their own goals depending on their individual needs. Many of the individuals we serve live on fixed incomes with little to no room in their budgets for recreation, leisure, and social experiences—which directly impact their mental health. That’s why Blossom IDD offers so many programs that address these unmet needs and are free to participants or have nominal fees.
