Today Cedarburg's AFS student Ireinz from Indonesia presented a certificate of recognition to Cedarburg HS principal Casey Bowe for the school's participation in the United States Department of State Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program. Ireinz is here because she won a highly competitive YES scholarship that brings teen ambassadors from countries with significant Muslim populations to American high schools for a year of study.

Ireinz is enrolled in a full American load of classes while she has participated in two drama productions. She especially enjoys her art classes and has had her art displayed at the Cedarburg Art Museum and Pink Llama Gallery this year.

For more info about having an international experience close to home with a student from nearly anywhere in the world, connect with our Cedarburg AFS team at [email protected].
