❤️ $10,000 RAISED IN JUST 10 DAYS! ❤️
We honestly can’t believe we’re writing this… YOU DID IT! What started just 10 days ago with the incredible kindness of one of our members offering to match the first $1,500 turned into something bigger than we ever imagined.

We surpassed that first goal… then received TWO MORE $1,500 matches, followed by an incredible $1,000 donation and together, our amazing community has now helped us raise $10,000! 🎉🐾

This was our very first unofficial fundraiser. There was no big campaign or months of planning, it simply started with one person wanting to help and a community that rallied behind our rescue dogs.

And your support couldn’t come at a more important time.

🐾 Three years ago, we rehomed just 26 dogs.
🐾 Last year, we rehomed 156 dogs.
🐾 This year, we’ve already helped 95 dogs and we’re not done yet.

Every one of those numbers represents a dog, a family, a foster, a transport, a vet visit, and ultimately, a second chance.

We cannot thank you enough. Every donation, share, comment and word of encouragement helped turn one act of kindness into $10,000 for rescue dogs.

From all of us at Viz Whizz Dogs Rescue and especially from the dogs whose lives you are helping change.
Nicky ❤️🐾

This community really is something special.

We’re so excited to share that Finn has officially found his forever family! This one took us a little longer, with a few twists and turns along the way, but we’re so happy we were able to get him where he needed to be.

Finn was surrendered when his family could no longer keep him. His breeder wasn’t able to take him back and instead directed his owners to us for help finding him a new home.

Finn initially went to a home that seemed like a great fit, but unfortunately their chickens proved a little too tempting for a Vizsla! So once again, we needed to find him somewhere safe to land while we searched for the right match.

A huge thank you to Jonah and his wonderful team at Orchard Boarding in Oregon, who stepped up and took such great care of Finn for a week while we worked on the next chapter of his story.

Then along came Taylor and her family. We knew the loss they’d experienced and we also knew this could be a great fit for Finn. They were able to make the drive and meet Finn at the boarding facility, where introductions could be done slowly and with support. Having that neutral, experienced environment made the transition so much smoother especially when it came to meeting his new big brother, Gunny!

We’re thrilled to say that Finn now Jim is settling into his new life alongside Gunny and doing well!

Sometimes rescue isn’t a straight line. It takes patience, teamwork, and people willing to step up along the way to get a dog exactly where he belongs. We’re so happy for Jim, Gunny and their family and look forward to following all of their adventures together.

Happy forever, sweet boy! ❤️

LUCY & LUNA ARE READY FOR THEIR FOREVER HOMES! 📍San Antonio, Tx
Current on vaccines, spayed. Heartworm negative.

Early last week we got the call asking if we could save these two beautiful Weimaraner-mix puppies from a shelter. Of course, we said YES!

The girls came home with kennel cough, so their first week with us has been about getting healthy, settling into foster life and learning what it’s like to be part of a family. We’re so happy to say they’re both doing so much better and have adjusted beautifully to living with their foster family’s resident GSP.

Now they’re ready to find their own forever homes!

💛 LUCY (Brindle)
Lucy is playful, inquisitive and full of personality! She has almost mastered her sit and home commands and loves being part of whatever is going on.

💜 LUNA (Solid)
Luna is our gentle little sweetheart. She loves playing with other dogs, will happily follow you around and really just wants ALL the love. She has her sit down and is still working on home.

Both girls are:
🐾 Kennel trained
🐾 Doing really well with house training
🐾 Great with other dogs
🐾 Good with children
🐾 Happy, loving puppies ready for families of their own

Lucy and Luna will be adopted separately. We’d love to find the perfect home for each of them soon so they can settle in, bond with their new families and start their next chapter.

From a shelter call on August 21st to healthy, happy puppies looking for forever — this is why we say YES when we can.

Now we need your help finishing their story. 🥹

Please SHARE Lucy & Luna and help us get these sweet girls HOME! 🏡🐾🧡

Adoption Pending✅
Meet Hutch, 📍Keller -TX 🧡
a handsome 1-year-old male Vizsla looking for a new home due to his family’s financial and health circumstances.

Hes aroun60lbd, neutered and jotodate on his vaccines.

Hutch is an incredibly affectionate, outgoing, loving and enthusiastic young Vizsla with that classic Velcro personality - personal space is definitely not his thing! He loves playing ball, swimming, riding in the car, splashing in a kiddie pool and getting soaked with the hose.

He is still very much a young dog and will need a family prepared to continue his training. He pulls on leash, jumps up, has separation anxiety and can be destructive when left alone. He can be stubborn and excitable but is trainable and has plenty of wonderful calm moments too.

🐕 Other dogs: Hutch hasn’t had much experience around other dogs. He can be reactive when seeing them, although he appears curious and wants to play with neighboring dogs. A proper meet-and-greet and careful introductions will be important. He’s just not had the opportunity.

👧 Children: He has experience with teenagers but has not been around babies or younger children.

Hutch is a sweet, energetic young dog who needs an active, committed home that understands the needs of a young Vizsla and can give him the exercise, structure, training and companionship he needs.

His family says it best: “Hutch is an amazing little man. He has an amazing personality. Whoever is his forever family, they are very lucky to have him.”

🧡 THE RHINESTONE LITTER IS TOGETHER! 🧡
Today was such a special day. I picked up the other three puppies, and our sweet little Phoenix was finally reunited with his littermates.

Four weeks ago, Phoenix was facing euthanasia after being diagnosed with swimmer puppy syndrome. Thankfully, we were contacted in time and were able to say YES to giving this tiny boy a chance.

He has spent the last four weeks receiving so much love, care and support, learning how to get those little legs underneath him and becoming stronger every single day. And today, he got to be a puppy again, back with his brothers and sisters.

Watching them all together is incredibly special.
We’ve decided to keep the four puppies together for another week. Phoenix has missed out on some of those important weeks of growing up alongside his littermates, so this gives him time to learn from them, play with them, build his confidence and get used to being part of a little puppy pack.

And they are already doing amazing. Everyone is learning, settling in, playing, sleeping in puppy piles and figuring things out together.

For Phoenix especially, this week is about more than just having fun with his siblings. It’s another little piece of his journey toward becoming the happy, confident puppy we always knew was in there.

Four weeks ago, his future was uncertain. Today, he’s surrounded by his littermates, loved beyond measure, and getting his chance to simply be a puppy.

Cash, Phoenix, Dolly & June, the Rhinestone Litter is finally together. ✨🐾

Side note: 📣Applications are open! Puppies will be ready for pickup September 5th in Cedar Park, TX. I won’t be organizing transport, and I may not be able to respond to every application. Between the puppies, my family, and soon having six big dogs boarding, things are a little crazy here! 😂Thanks for understanding!

Meet Sawyer & Ace | Bonded pair |
📍Lincolnville, Maine

Meet Sawyer and Ace, two deeply bonded 10-year-old boys who have been cherished members of their family since they were puppies. They must find a new home together.

Their family’s six-year-old son has developed a severe dog allergy. Despite seeing multiple specialists, maintaining a frequent deep-cleaning routine, bathing the dogs weekly and medicating their child around the clock, his symptoms have continued to worsen. He is now unable to breathe properly through his nose.

Their family has held on for as long as possible because they cannot imagine losing these beloved dogs. This is an agonizing decision made solely for the health of their child.

🐾 SAWYER
Sawyer is a 10-year-old, 49-pound Vizsla/Terrier mix with the energy of a much younger dog. He is outgoing, affectionate and happiest when he is right beside his people. He has lived with children now ages two and six since they were born and has always been wonderful with them.

Sawyer loves playing ball, swimming, running, hiking, riding in the car and joining his family on adventures. At home, he would happily spend his time curled up under the covers with his head on a pillow.

Sawyer is housebroken and microchipped. He knows sit, stay, come, down, place, off and heel. He currently takes Simparica Trio and has trazodone available as needed for anxiety.

He pulls and can be reactive toward unfamiliar dogs on leash, especially when walking with Ace. With calm, careful introductions one dog at a time and preferably off leash he generally does well. He is not comfortable around huskies, and his family is uncertain about very small dogs.

Sawyer also experiences separation and storm anxiety. Thunderstorms and changes in barometric pressure can cause him to shake and pace. He needs a home where he will not be left alone for long periods.

🐾 ACE
Ace is a 10-year-old, 70-pound Weimaraner/Boxer/Lab mix and the family’s gentle giant. He was adopted at three months old, shortly after Sawyer, and the two have grown up together.

Ace is wonderful with adults and children of all ages. He may jump up when greeting someone sometimes doing an adorable Boxer-style crossing of his paws but settles quickly. He can initially seem cautious or reserved, yet he quietly loves attention and affection once he feels comfortable.

Ace enjoys tug-of-war, swimming, running and chasing Sawyer around the yard. He is fast, strong, obedient, extremely food-motivated and eager to please. He knows sit, stay, come, down, off and heel.

Ace walks beautifully on leash by himself but tends to follow Sawyer’s lead when they are together. If Sawyer pulls or reacts, Ace may do the same. Ace is generally good with other dogs, although his family is uncertain about very small toy breeds.

Ace is housebroken and microchipped and currently takes Simparica Trio. He tolerates nail trims and is quiet most of the time, although his deep bark makes him an excellent watchdog.

Ace can be an escape artist and will find any weak spot in a fence, so a secure yard is essential. He also becomes frightened during storms and may shake and drool, but he does not have accidents inside.

Ace recently injured the end of his tail when it was accidentally caught in a door. After the initial treatment, part of the tail became necrotic and required a second amputation. He is currently recovering and is expected to need approximately two more weeks to heal.

THEIR IDEAL HOME❤️
Sawyer and Ace are active senior boys who still have plenty of energy and love to give. They need affectionate owners who will keep them together, include them in daily family life and provide regular exercise and outdoor time.

They would do best with:
• A securely fenced yard
• Owners who are home frequently
• Plenty of exercise and companionship
• Careful introductions to other dogs
• No huskies or very small dogs
• A cozy couch, bed or plush chair where they can finally snuggle again

Sawyer is the outgoing adventurer, while Ace is his loyal and gentle companion. Together, they are a loving, devoted pair who have spent nearly their entire lives side by side.

They have already lost much of the physical closeness they once enjoyed with their family because of their child’s allergies. Our greatest hope is to find them a home where they can stay together and once again enjoy all the affection, adventures and cozy cuddles they deserve.
