The Dog Alliance Provides FREE service dogs for Texas veterans. Provides FREE Reading Dogs in local schools. Provides family and sport dog classes for dog lovers.

Classes available 7 days a week. Well-trained dogs improve lives! The Dog Alliance offers free service dogs for Texas veterans, public dog training classes for sport, pet, therapy, and service dogs, and therapy dogs in a wide variety of locations, including schools, nursing homes, libraries, and hospitals. Our public dog training includes puppy classes, dog manners, agility, tricks classes, rally, nosework, private lessons, and so much more!

For many veterans, stepping back into public spaces can take courage. Veteran Outings help make that step feel possible.

These outings give veterans and their service dogs the chance to practice in real-world environments, build trust, work through distractions, and grow more confident together beyond the training room.

Every outing matters. It helps prepare each team for everyday moments like walking into a busy place, navigating crowds, or simply feeling more comfortable out in the community.

With the 4th of July around the corner, we had to share this sweet visit from Tessa. ❤️🐾

There is something really special about the way a therapy dog can walk into a hospital room and change the feeling in the room almost instantly.

For someone going through a hard day, a visit like this can mean more than people realize. It can be a quiet moment of comfort, a little distraction from stress, or simply a reason to smile.

Tessa may have shown up in red, white, and blue, but what she really brought was love, calm, and the kind of support that does not need many words.

That is what makes so special. They remind people that they are not alone, even in some of the hardest moments.

Last June, Missy was a petite puppy with a big future ahead of her. 🐾 Born March 24, 2025, she was one of nine little bundles just beginning her journey.

At Graduation, Boomer did what therapy dogs do best. He helped turn a busy, exciting, emotional night into a moment of connection.

Between the photos, laughter, hugs, and celebration, Boomer gave students a chance to pause, smile, and simply enjoy the moment.

That is the impact of a therapy dog. It may look like a few minutes of petting, a quick picture, or a happy face in the hallway. But for the person on the receiving end, it can feel like comfort, calm, and joy showing up right when it is needed.

We’re so grateful Boomer could be part of such a special night with the Westwood High School graduates. Congratulations to the Class of 2026. We’re cheering you on as you take your next step forward. 🐾

🐾 We’re wrapping up Day #5 with full hearts and four very content puppies 💛
On Monday evening, June 8, Faith welcomed four healthy puppies into the world—three girls and one boy—and this little family is doing beautifully. Faith is proving to be a calm, attentive mama, and her pups are thriving!
As these tiny future service dogs begin their journey, we’re already laying the groundwork for the important work ahead. During these first weeks, puppies experience the world through touch and scent—and every positive interaction helps shape their future. 💫
We’ve started introducing different textures into their whelping space to gently build those early sensory experiences. These small steps help create a “memory bank” of positive associations—an important foundation for confident, adaptable working dogs.
A very special thank you to our friends at for their partnership in this breeding—especially dad Steven! 🐾 The Patriot Paws team has been wonderful to work with every step of the way.
Stay tuned as we head into Week 2... there is so much growing (and wiggling!) ahead 💕🐶

These pups will be ready to be matched with veterans in 18 to 24 months. Thank you, Texas Veterans Commission, and all our donors for investing in our service dog program.
