Southwest Dallas AFT Southwest Dallas AFT serves as a strong advocate for public school employees. Our vision is to give employees the power to advocate for issues that affect them.

We represent Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, and Lancaster ISDs. Southwest Dallas American Federation of Teachers (AFT) serves as a strong advocate for teachers and school-related personnel. Our vision is to give employees of the Southwest Dallas school districts the power to advocate for issues that affect them. Overall, we want to create an organization that will provide each school employee with the resources and support they need to succeed.

Public schools are the backbone of our future in Texas. That’s why I’m proud to have the support of the Texas AFT.

But Republicans are working harder than ever to dismantle our public education system with a voucher scam that only benefits the wealthy — they’re just not being honest about it.

“Parental choice” = pro voucher scam. “Educational freedom” = anti public education. You can’t support teachers and students AND support parental choice. Don’t let them fool you with nice talking points and pretty TV ads.

Fully funding our public schools isn’t a campaign slogan for me. It’s my commitment to you.
