Building union power for educators and school employees in Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, and Lancaster ISDs to create better schools, stronger workplaces, and a stronger voice on the job. Southwest Dallas American Federation of Teachers (AFT) serves as a strong advocate for teachers and school-related personnel. Our vision is to give employees of the Southwest Dallas school districts the power to advocate for issues that affect them. Overall, we want to create an organization that will provide each school employee with the resources and support they need to succeed.

Happy Labor Day from Southwest Dallas AFT!

Today, we honor the workers who keep our schools and communities strong. Labor Day is a reminder that every right, protection, and workplace improvement was won because workers stood together and demanded better.

Together, we continue the fight for respect, fair pay, and the schools our students deserve. Union strong. Solidarity forever.
