“Foster Care” is the planned temporary or extended substitute family care and family living for child whose parent(s), for any number of reasons, cannot care for him or her. is a foster care agency which focuses on promoting the well-being of child by providing a continuum of care to child through foster care, unplanned pregnancy and residential treatment services. A core concept of Youth in View,

Inc. is that we must work together and share the responsibility and accountability for caring for child that cannot care for themselves. Philosophy: The Youth in View agency philosophy stems from our infinite belief in God and the therapeutic community model of treatment and behavior modification which envisions a structured family environment in which honesty, trust and self-help are stressed.

“The View: “The View” was developed from the therapeutic community model used for treatment of substance abuse including dually diagnosed clients. The therapeutic community model concept began in England in the 1940’s. This communal sharing of concern for those around you has positive outcomes. The person begins to see himself/herself reflected in those around them. He/she also starts the journey to self-respect by accepting himself/herself as imperfect but human. Guilt over our human frailties begins to dissolve as we establish a connection to a forgiving and loving God. developed a Modified Therapeutic Community model of Behavior Modification for child, which provide visions for:

A safe place to heal physically
A nurturing place to recover spiritually
A drug-free space
A chance to meet new people
A chance to discover one’s future
A place to learn new tools for life

What is a “Modified Therapeutic Community Model of Behavior Modification?”

The therapeutic community model focuses on responsibility and creativity, which is encouraged through education, house rules, house tools, consequences and privileges. This design helps child to acquire problem-solving skills. The model develops daily tasks of cooking and household chores. Family meetings or one-on-one discussion promote bonding and respect. The therapeutic community model teaches cooperation, respect and promotes learning experiences, which demonstrate natural and logical consequences. Hence, there is the promoting of self-government. has made a commitment to improve the lives of child that have been displaced, abused or neglected. Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Memorial Day is a time to reflect on the courage, dedication, and selflessness of those who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy each day.

From all of us at Youth in View, we extend our deepest gratitude to the fallen heroes and their families. May we continue to lead with service, compassion, and community in their honor. 🇺🇸

Trauma-Informed Insight Series:
The Difference Between Discipline and Punishment

Discipline and punishment are not the same—and the difference matters.

Punishment focuses on control.
Discipline focuses on growth.

Punishment asks: “What rule was broken?”
Discipline asks: “What skill is missing?”

One creates short-term compliance.
The other builds long-term change.

If we want better behavior, we can’t just react—we have to teach.

Because behavior is communication… and every response is a lesson.

We’re coming HOME 🏡✨
Youth in View is excited to announce that we are officially moving back to our original office space — and we couldn’t be more thrilled! This space holds so much history for us, and returning here marks a powerful new chapter in our journey.
As we step back into a familiar place, we do so with renewed purpose and expanded impact. Youth in View is now T3C Credentialed, strengthening our commitment to providing high-quality, child-centered care across every service we offer.
Even more exciting — we are now offering Behavioral Health Services, allowing us to better support the emotional, mental, and relational well-being of the children and families we serve. This means more comprehensive care, deeper healing, and stronger outcomes for our community.
This office isn’t just a building — it’s a welcoming, safe, and inspiring environment where: ✔ Families feel supported
✔ Children feel seen, heard, and valued
✔ Healing and connection can truly take place
We are so grateful for how far we’ve come and even more excited about where we’re going. If you’ve been part of our journey, thank you. If you’re new to Youth in View — welcome. We can’t wait to serve you.
The best is yet to come 💙

Child abuse prevention starts with community. 💜

Every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported, especially those navigating the foster care system. Prevention isn’t just about intervention after harm. It’s about:

• Supporting families before crisis
• Listening to children
• Reporting concerns
• Showing up consistently

When we strengthen families, we protect children. When we speak up, we create safety. When we foster by opening our homes, we help break cycles.

If you suspect abuse, report it. If you see a need, step in. If you can help, don’t wait.

Protecting children is everyone’s responsibility.
