Probably our most "I've never heard of that" vegetable: Kohlrabi. Eat it raw or cooked, they are a fun exploration into food when your dinner plate 🍽️ feels like you're on repeat. Easy to grow and harvest, stop by and grab some to add some variety to your garden this year.

🌻 WHY COME TO OPENING DAY? 🌻

Opening Day at the farm is a our way of sharing who we are and what we do with eachother and with our community.
It's about:
🥕 Kids learning where their food comes from.
🙋🏼‍♀️ Neighbors meeting neighbors.
🥦 People realizing they actually CAN grow food in Wyoming.

Every plant you buy helps support community growing spaces, education programs, and future farm projects right here in Casper. If you believe that access to fresh local food and a sense of connection with your community truly matter...this is a space that will make you smile.

🍅 PLANT SALE SPOTLIGHT: JERSEY DEVIL 🍅

Did you know that centuries ago, tomatoes were feared in Europe for their bright, seductive red hue. Between the 1500s and 1800s, they were widely considered poisonous, sinful, and associated with witchcraft 🧙‍♀️ or werewolves. 🤣

Trust us though, this tomato is anything but poisonous. Long, meaty, low seeds, packed with flavor. If you can tomatoes or make salsa, this is one you’ll want to grab at Opening Day.

🍈 PLANT SPOTLIGHT: KAJARI MELON 🍈

Honestly… this might be the prettiest fruit we’re growing this year.

Ancient Indian heirloom melon with orange-and-green striped skin and sweet flavor that tastes like summer.

And yes… it grows in Wyoming.

We’ll have starts available Opening Day 🌱

We’re getting the farm cleaned up, the plants hardened off, and the tractors ready. Join us for some not so clean family fun by getting your hands in the dirt...or just enjoy some time in the sun.

Did Wyoming weather steal your bumper crop of tomatoes already? Don't worry, we've got your back! Our plant sale is coming up May 30th. We know it feels late in the season but we've already hardened off these plants and they are ready to help ease the stress of late-season cold snaps.

As usual, Wyoming weather always keeps us on our toes. We are revising the volunteer schedule a little to allow for the hotter afternoons we've been experiencing (and the snow on the ground today).
