Casper 100-Mile Run – Come Support Vincent Ma!

Ultra runner Vincent Ma of San Jose, California, will be hosting a 100-mile race in Casper on Friday, September 25, beginning at 6:00 PM Mountain Time. The official finish cutoff is 6:00 AM on Sunday, September 27, giving runners 36 hours to complete the distance.

Course Description

The main course is a 3-mile out-and-back on the Platte River Trail:

Start at Tate Pumphouse
Head east on the Platte River Trail
Turn around after 1.5 miles at the Best Western Downtown (123 W. E Street)
Return to Tate Pumphouse

Runners attempting the full 100 miles will complete the 3-mile course 33 times (99 miles). An optional 1-mile out-and-back on the same trail will complete the final mile, with the turnaround at Amoco Park (1007 W. 1st St.).

About Vincent

Vincent is no stranger to Casper, having completed the Casper Marathon five times—in 2011, 2013, 2018, 2021, and 2022.

His running accomplishments are remarkable:

Finished 100-mile races in 46 states, including an unofficial finish in Alaska that missed the cutoff by just five minutes.
Completed more than 1,240 marathons and longer-distance races.
Ran 1,000 marathons and ultras in just over 10 years.
Completed marathons in all 50 states 20 times.
Finished races in all 10 Canadian provinces.
Completed marathons on all seven continents.

Vincent has worked with the City of Casper and the Platte River Trails Trust to organize the event and establish the race site.

Whether you're interested in tackling part of the course, pacing a runner, or simply cheering from the sidelines, your support would be greatly appreciated. Even if running 100 miles isn't on your bucket list, come out to the Platte River Trail and help give Vincent and all participants a warm Casper welcome!
