The Friends of Hogadon (FOH) have provided Hogadon Basin Ski Area with multiple donations since 2015. Casper, Wyo. - Winter up at the mountain is slowly coming to an end and for one staff member there, so is his career.

It's a blustery one up here today! ❄️💨
Due to strong wind gusts, the Prospector Lift will be closed for the rest of the day. But don’t worry—the Mineshaft Lift is still spinning, and there’s plenty of snow to enjoy!
We appreciate your patience as we prioritize safety in these conditions. Stay warm, ride smart, and let the wind add a little extra speed to your runs! ⛷️🏂

Awesome day!!

With the first significant snow, we get a lot of questions. Here are some of the most common ones answered here!

❄It snowed, when will you open?
Answer: We always aim for the first weekend in December, weather permitting. This can change, but all depends on temperatures and snow accumulation in the fall.

❄What run will open first?
Answer: Boomerang. We make snow here first since it takes less time and water than others, and is our most popular trail. Afterwards we move to Morning Dew, Park Avenue, and Dreadnaught.

❄Can I snowshoe or skin (ski touring) before ski season?
Answer: Yes! But with caution. Staff may be in machinery on the hill or making snow. Please stay away from runs with snow guns or machinery. There will be no Ski Patrol or other services until ski season, so do so at your own risk. Runs will often not be groomed until season so be mindful of natural terrain.

❄When/where can I buy my season pass?
Answer: Now! Online sales have been active since October 1st, and preseason rates will end December 1st. Links to pass sales are at hogadon.net or follow estore.hogadon.net.
Want to buy in person? November 16th from 2-7pm, we will have our annual Novemberfest at the lodge for purchase or pickup of season passes. Plus music, food & drinks!

10/05/2024

Online pass sales (preseason pricing of course), is up and running! Preseason pricing only lasts until until December 1st, so get yours now!

❄Make an account, sign your waiver and upload a picture all through the e-store!
Remember to add the RFID card to your season pass purchase! You'll need this to ride the Prospector and Mineshaft!
RFID cards can be picked up the first day you arrive at the ski area to ski or board, and at Novemberfest! (Announcement on that coming soon!)

❄Reminder that Hogadon Basin has limited staff outside of ski season, but we will be available by phone or social media to help with online sales as much as we can. Call 307-235-8499 with any questions!

There are many factors to consider when deciding whether to repair or replace an aging ski lift. Some are emotional. Some are monetary. Others are functional. Our lifts are part of the identity of our resorts, and it can be hard to say goodbye to a beloved lift. An old lift may add to a resort’s.....
