GRANTS IN ACTION: Thanks to a recent grant, students in CHS’s new Music Technology course are now using Novation Launchkey Mini MIDI controllers to create, record, and edit their own tracks using Soundtrap. Instead of relying on a mouse or trackpad, Mr. Boyle's students can now bring their musical ideas to life in real time using piano-style keys, drum pads, and physical controls. These new controllers are already serving around 50 students each year and will remain part of the program's permanent inventory as the course grows!

Teachers at Carrollton Elementary, Carrollton Upper Elementary, Carrollton Middle, Carrollton High School, Project SEARCH, Support Services, and the Harry Morgan Center received grants. The Prize Patrol is on the move!

We kicked off our Carrollton City Schools Education Foundation Grant Prize Patrol today, surprising our first grant recipient — Project SEARCH!

This grant will provide professional attire for Project SEARCH students as they prepare for internships, interviews and the workplace. Through a partnership between CHS and the University of West Georgia, Project SEARCH gives students real-world work experience while helping them build the skills, confidence and independence needed for life after high school.

The Prize Patrol will continue next week, delivering more grant awards to our schools and celebrating the innovative opportunities our teachers and staff are creating for students.
