Orange-Chatham Group, Sierra Club Working to protect the environment in North Carolina's Alamance, Caswell, Chatham and Orange counties

The Sierra Club's Orange-Chatham Group represents the club's members in North Carolina's Alamance, Caswell, Chatham and Orange counties. This area includes Burlington, Chapel Hill, Siler City, Yanceyville and many more cities, towns, and rural areas. The Sierra Club was founded in 1892 by the writer and naturalist John Muir. In the past century the club has been a tireless voice for the thoughtful preservation of our natural heritage not only for our own well-being but for generations to come.

Hi all Sierra Club members. As you know, we move our monthly social around to various spots to give members an easier opportunity to meet with other members and Sierra Club Leadership.

We haven't been to Alamance County in quite a spell, so we are fixing that by holding our September social at Bright Penney in Mebane

While we normally meet on Thursdays, this coming week, we will meet on Wednesday!

We will have some light fare from the Bright Penney Kitchen, and an opportunity to meet local candidates.

Come on out to Mebane and meet us. You don't have to be a member to join us!
