💙🤍 The Argos family is hurting.
This is the post no football and cheer family ever wants to make.
With incredibly heavy hearts, we are sharing the heartbreaking news of the sudden passing of Aiden Mrotek, a former Argos player and the beloved son of our past Cheer Director, Tammy Lopeparo.
Aiden was only 21 years old.
Aiden was tragically involved in a fatal car accident while traveling home from his Army National Guard unit. There are no words that can truly capture the devastation of losing someone so young, with an entire life still ahead of them.
For our Argos family, this loss is made even more heartbreaking by the fact that Aiden is the fourth former Argos player we have lost this year.
Four young lives. Four families whose worlds have been forever changed. Four times we have had to grieve the loss of young people who were once a part of our fields, our teams, our friendships, and our Argos family.
It is devastating. It is heartbreaking. And it is simply too much loss for one year.
These young men and women are more than former players. They are sons and daughters, siblings, friends, teammates, and loved ones. They were young people with so much life ahead of them, and their absence leaves an immeasurable void for the people who loved them.
Our hearts are especially heavy for Tammy and her entire family.
Tammy and her family have been a cherished part of our Argos Football & Cheer program for many years. Tammy has given so much of herself to our organization, our cheer program, and the children and families who have come through it.
Now, it is our turn to surround Tammy and her family with the love and support they have shown our Argos community for so many years.
Please keep Aiden, Tammy, and their entire family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this unimaginable loss.
If you are able, please consider showing your support through the family's Meal Train. Whether you provide a meal, make a contribution, send a message, or simply keep them in your prayers, every act of kindness matters.

And please, hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight. Call your kids. Call your parents. Tell your family and friends how much they mean to you.
We never know if we get another day.
Aiden, you will always be a part of the Argos family.
Rest peacefully. 💙🤍
Once an Argo, always an Argo.
