Aviation Career Exploring is open to young men and women from the 14 to 20 years old with an interest in learning more about careers in the field of Aviation. Aviation Exploring is a hands-on program that exposes young people to flying. It offers aviation experiences, as a possible career or for the sheer pleasure of being around airplanes. Career Exploring combines some classroom training with fi

eld trips. You get to experience firsthand what it’s like to be a pilot, aircraft mechanic, flight engineer, air traffic controller and more! You will learn about the educational requirements for a career in Aviation and will receive tangible advice on steps you could take now to prepare and position yourself for a successful career in the field of Aviation. Explore Aviation Careers with San Diego Aviation Explorer Post 120

San Diego Aviation Explorer Post 120 introduces youth ages 10-20 to exciting career opportunities in aviation.

Based at Palomar Airport, the program provides students with the chance to meet aviation professionals and gain hands-on exposure to fields such as:
• Piloting
• Aircraft maintenance
• Air traffic control
• Drone operations
• Airport operations and management
• Military aviation

Explorers participate in mentorship opportunities, guest speaker presentations, airport tours, and aviation events that help them learn what it takes to build a career in aviation.

If you know a student interested in aviation, engineering, or aerospace, we encourage you to share this opportunity.

Post 120 has been invited to participate in the Latino pilots Association event on March 18 from 5:30-7:30 pm at Montgomery Field in Hanger 36. They will have snack, snacks, and beverages, and will have plenty of pilots, flight instructors, and aviation enthusiasts!

Hello San Diego Aviation Explorer Post 120!

On March 17th we will have a big meeting to talk about attending this year's Oshkosh airshow, run youth elections, and have a pizza party!

The Oshkosh airshow is one of the biggest airshows in the country and we would love for people to attend this year.

Last meeting we didn't get to run youth officer elections and we hope for more people to participate! If you are interested in having a leadership position in the club, this meeting is important to attend. We will have elections for these positions:
President, Admin Vice President, Program Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer

Additionally, we will serve pizza for you to enjoy at this meeting. You are all welcome to bring a friend with you!

The meeting will be held at the STEM hanger located at Atlantic Aviation from 6-8pm. It will be in hangar 9, first hangar past the lobby.
