Hosted by Polaris Aero, this interactive workshop will explore best practices, common challenges, operational pitfalls, and the importance of staying consistent, diligent, and vigilant when managing operational risk.

🎤 Facilitator Tom Dew brings more than 30 years of aviation experience across general aviation, corporate, and air carrier operations, including leadership of flight operations for a non-profit organization. Currently leading sales for Western North America and the Asia-Pacific region at Polaris Aero, Tom combines deep operational knowledge with expertise in aviation safety, engineering, and risk management.

This workshop will encourage open discussion around strengthening safety culture and evaluating whether current risk controls are truly supporting safe operations in today’s aviation environment.

🔦 Workshop Spotlight: Wildfire Response ✈️

Hosted by nimbl, this interactive workshop is designed to test and strengthen Emergency Response Plans during a realistic California wildfire scenario impacting business aviation operations.

🎤 Clément Meersseman, VP of Strategic Partnerships at Nimbl, brings more than 13 years of international business aviation experience across Europe and North America. Specializing in aviation compliance, procedures, and safety, his global operational background provides valuable insight into managing complex operational challenges.

🎤 Jim Hosey brings more than 40 years of aviation industry experience as a Safety Manager, Senior International Captain, Aviation Auditor, and military instructor pilot. With over 17,000 flight hours and extensive expertise in operational audits, investigations, and aviation safety best practices, Jim offers a deep understanding of emergency preparedness and safety management.

During this workshop, attendees will work through real-time operational decisions while evaluating the effectiveness of their ERP processes under pressure. While centered around wildfire response, the lessons learned apply to a wide range of operational crises and emergency events.

Attendees will leave with practical strategies to better protect personnel, aircraft, facilities, and operations during time-critical emergencies.
