✨ Get to Know Our CEO ✨

Being the CEO of the Stark Blessing Box Initiative has been one of the most difficult — yet unexpectedly life-changing — journeys of my life.

As a single mother, I know firsthand the struggle of trying to put together a meal when the resources simply are not there. That is why this mission means so much to me. The joy I get from helping others facing those same struggles is something I cannot fully put into words.

I am incredibly grateful for every person who prayed for me in the beginning and continues to pray for me as I work to guide this organization in the right direction. I’m thankful for the news outlets that believed in our mission enough to share our story, and honestly, I’m even more thankful that I didn’t give up during the many moments I considered it.

There were times when I underestimated the impact we were making in our community. Looking back now, I am amazed by how far we have come — and excited for all the possibilities of where we may go next.

White Dumpster🚛 A huge THANK YOU to White Dumpster for helping us move one of our busiest Blessing Boxes! ❤️

When it came time to retire the old box at BB9 – Community Drop In Center, we knew this move would take some extra muscle.

Thank you to White Dumpster for stepping up and sending Zac and Dave out to help move the new heavy-duty box into place. Rain and all, they showed up and helped make it happen! 🌧️📦

This location serves a lot of neighbors, and because of community partners like you, we can continue keeping help accessible where it’s needed most.

June Supply Drive Announcement

We are excited to share that Custom Auto Body Inc. will be hosting a Supply Drive all month long in June during regular business hours to support the Stark Blessing Box Initiative!

Donations of non-perishable food, hygiene products, household cleaning supplies, and storage bags are appreciated.

🎉 Another amazing project completed by Louisville High School! 🎉

Louisville High School has officially completed their THIRD Blessing Box, and this one is extra special! 💙

This box was built larger and more heavy-duty to better serve the location where it will soon be placed. It was specially designed with durability and community impact in mind, and we cannot wait to share its new home!

This project was made possible with the help of several of our graduating seniors at Louisville High School, and we were so thankful to have them be part of this build before they head off to their next adventures. 🎓❤️

Of course, hard work deserves a little celebration, so we had to grab some pizza from Sol Pie 🍕 to thank everyone for their time and effort!

Wow! Community showed up in a BIG way for BB65! ❤️📦

Within just 8 hours of this box being placed, the community came together and filled it with all kinds of items! Food, supplies, and acts of kindness were already making their way in, showing exactly what these boxes are all about.

We are so excited to officially welcome this new box into the network and into the community. Thank you to everyone who has already helped make an impact!

Flashback to May 2020!

This photo takes us back to the very first touch-up of BB1 after it had been serving our community for about six months. Pictured here is Marty Maxson, the person who stepped up and built our very first Blessing Box all those years ago.

At this visit, Marty was adding another shelf and helping stabilize the box so it could continue serving those who needed it. What started as one box and one act of kindness helped spark something much bigger.

Today, we are incredibly excited and thankful to say that BB1 is STILL active and STILL serving our community!

Thank you, Marty, for believing in this mission from the beginning and helping lay the foundation for what the Stark Blessing Box Initiative has become.
