Thank you to everyone who participated at the Easter Egg Hunt event at the Candor fire station last Saturday sponsored by the Bread of Life Food Pantry, the Candor Children’s Clothes Closet & Boutique, and the Candor Fire Company Auxiliary. A good time was had by all.

Although the Candor school district is closed today, the Bread of Life food pantry will be open as usual from 3 PM until 5:30 PM today.

Celebrating 20 years. 20 years ago this month Sherry Haner started a food pantry in Willseyville for those in need in the town Candor. It was later moved to the village of Candor at the old coal barn, our current location. It became known as the Bread of Life Food Pantry and with Sherry's hard work and time we became partners with the Food Bank of the Southern Tier, and finally obtaining a 501C3 nonprofit status as the Resource Center of Candor dba Bread of Life Food Pantry. We have grown to include an adult clothes closet in the pantry and now the Candor Children's Closet and Boutique. We have come a long way from humble beginnings.
