Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tioga County (CCE Tioga) 4-H Youth Development Program is seeking two (2) motivated and community-minded interns to support Summer 2026 Tioga County 4-H programming.

There are (2) internship opportunities with 195 hours or 100 hours of commitment, starting at 2 different dates.
Each internship will provide hands-on experience working directly with youth, families, volunteers and community partners, while contributing to key summer events, including the 2026 Tioga County Fair.
Position Overview
• Internship #1 will start on June 15, 2026 through August 19, 2026 (10 weeks) for a total of 195 hours, typically 15-20 hours per week.
• Internship #2 will start on July 16, 2026 through August 19, 2026 (5 weeks) for a total of 100 hours, with 3 weeks at 5-10hrs and 2 weeks of 40hr weekly effort.
• Working days/hours will include some evening and weekend effort as well as scheduled daytime effort based from the CCE Tioga Owego Extension Office.
• August 5-19, 2026 will have greater hourly commitment for both positions (up to 40 hours per work week (Thursday – Wednesday).
• Interns can be 16 years or older.
Interns will assist with the planning, coordination, and delivery of summer 4-H activities. Responsibilities include supporting youth project completion, guiding families through fair entry processes, participating in community outreach events, and contributing to positive youth development initiatives.
Interns will also assist with program preparation using Canva, Excel, and Microsoft Word. Experience creating social media content—such as reels or other engaging materials—is helpful but not required. Applicants not entering projects for the 2026 Tioga County Fair will have priority consideration.
This position also includes physical labor (ability to lift 50 pounds regularly) such as cleaning, setting up, and preparing spaces for animal shows and youth activities at the Tioga County Fair and during other summer events.
