Troop 882 Troop 882 loves adventure! We are a traditional all boy Troop, meet at the Gun Club. We enjoy camping, hiking, service projects, hands-on learning.

Our Scouts build character, develop leadership, grow into responsible citizens, and have fun together. Troop 882 is a Boy Scout Troop in Canby Oregon. Our Troop has built a foundation of strong principles in our young men as they work and grow into productive, and community focused involved adults; the kind of individuals of integrity what scouting is the foundation of. Scouting has always been about giving the boys opportunities to build leadership skills in their communities. It is also to provide boys with the adventures that they may never have the opportunity to attend. Scouting is all about building life skills and teaching responsible community service and outdoor skills.

Last night, our troop celebrated its fall Court of Honor. It was a wonderful opportunity to recognize our Scouts for their dedication in earning new ranks and merit badges. We are immensely proud of their hard work and achievements.

Troop 882 headed out to Milo McIver State Park for a weekend of Scout fun!

Every campout starts with preparing the duty roster, meal planning, and grocery shopping! Once at the campground, Scouts hit the course for disc golf, spent time fishing, and worked on those two Merit Badges along the way!

Our Scouts get many opportunities to learn and grow as they become helpful, respectful, and responsible young men.

CHS senior Ian Peck is a Troop Bugler, and a Troop 882 Eagle Scout. He was asked to sound Taps at the 9/11 memorial ceremony. Through Taps Ian honored those who we lost 25 years ago, reminding us all to never forget.

Thank you Canby Police Department, Canby Fire District, Canby School District, and City of Canby OR for the ceremony and time of reflection for our community.
