Troop 882 had a great time celebrating dads with rifle shooting and enjoying delicious root beer floats! We also had the pleasure of welcoming a new scout to the troop!

We are so excited to have Weston join Troop 882 and become part of the adventure. From learning new skills and making new friends to exploring the outdoors and serving the community, we can’t wait to see all the great things ahead for you.⚜️

This 882 Adventure Team spent three days backpacking in the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness. They hiked to different locations each day where they camped out, they became experienced cooking (and eating) on the trail, and took some time to do some fishing in Marion Lake along the way. Backpacking offers young people a chance to try out their Scout skills, focus on nature around them - screen free, and take on a challenge that will help them develop self confidence and lifelong memories. The Troop is extremely grateful for the adults that prepared the Scouts for the trip and went with them to guide the way. Great job Adventurers!

Troop 882 attempted the marshmallow roasting debate at last night's meeting during s'more making. There were some convincing arguments for each option, but it was decided that the Troop might need more marshmallow roasting sessions to fully make an informed decision. What about you? Last week, the 882 High Adventure Team headed to Sun River for some fly fishing in the Deschutes River. They even tied some of their own flies! These Scouts learned a lot, including that fishing is an activity that is both exciting and peaceful. The Scouts that went expressed just how much they considered the trip a valuable experience. A huge thank you to the adults who worked hard to make the trip a possibility.
