There is a BUNCH of misinformation going on around the dog park, I will take each bit and put the true information here.

It is said that the “Territorial location currently has none of the necessary infrastructure like, power, water, sewer, and a parking lot. The other locations have all of these items to different degrees.”

This is simply not true. Pure misinformation. The territorial location would tap into utilities at the street like any other development, just as it would at any other location, even the Honda Pits.

Furthermore, Public Works & the new Fire Station are further up the street. Can you imagine Public works and a fire station with no waste water & power?

We NEED to make the dog park a reality. “We” have been run over by other projects, even though the dog park was approved YEARS ago by the previous council.

2. Post a photo in the comments of THIS post of your dog. Include their name & breed, too!
3. Tag at least one friend in the comments

(If you enter you must be available for the class and want to take it, this is the main prize and the reason for the contest)

PRIZES; THREE WINNERS will be chosen
(1) GRAND PRIZE 1st place
- Goodie bag with doggie items
- FREE 5 week Class in the next Basic Obedience class (Friday July 17th at 7pm)

(2) Two runners up
- $10 off 5 week class or $10 off one private lesson

Winners will be announced by Monday evening July 13th.

RULES;
- Photo must be of the dog you are entering
- You must be the owner of the dog
- Must own the photo
- If you own multiple dogs you may enter each one ONCE

NO CASH VALUES OF PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED, if winner does not respond within 24hrs a new winner will be picked.

Hello friends!
Looking to get a group together interested in working on the dog park, please message if you are interested in being on the team to help get the Dog Park rolling again.
I have lots of information, but unfortunately since the city maintenance issues started everything is very outdated. Have a group dedicated to this project would really help; strength in numbers!

Hi everyone! A member of the City of Canby Park and Rec advisory board has created a poll on the Canby Now page to gauge current interest in a couple things Canby is working on introducing. Let’s show our support for the dog park!!

Remember, the dog park has actually already been accepted and approved WITH blueprints drawn up. The Splash Pad and Sports fields have not had any specific plans done.

Here is a screen shot of the poll so you can find it! You must be a member of Canby Now, and you can only choose one option.

Hello dog loving friends!
We have great news and need your support! There is a vote on a fee that will be specifically for park maintenance. This fee will be $5 a month and dedicated to park maintenance. With this dedicated $5 this will allow our Park and Rec Board to go forward with many planned parks in canby... Including the Dog Park!!!! In addition, the planned 5 stages of the dog park will be built all in ONE stage. NO WAITING!

The city is at a 3/3 vote on this and the deciding factor will be made by Mayor Hudson.

If a parks district is ever created in Canby, this fee WILL drop off so there will be no doubled fees.

We NEED this to move forward and create the parks our community wants and needs. Anyone that will be in support of the fee and dog park is encouraged to come to the meeting on August 16th at 7:30pm. The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers at the Canby Library. Please join us!

We have news! A group has come forward and may be willing to handle volunteers to maintain the dog park! We should have an official decision on this by July.

Dont give up- we wont! Canby WILL have an off-leas dog park!
