Chartered by New Life Church, Cub Scout Pack 613 meets at New Life Church in Cameron, NC, our growing Pack (40+ Scouts) meets every 2nd & 4th Wednesday of the month from 6pm-7:15pm. Cubmaster: Ben Starling

Pack 613 is comprised of 35+ Cub Scouts from Kindergarten to 5th grade. We communicate via the Band App and have a published calendar in the app for parents to have access to our meeting/event dates and times.

Pack 613 is one of the few units who hold the title of having all five metrics met!

What this means is…
1. Key Leaders Trained: Percentage of top leaders (Unit Leader and Committee Chair) trained for their position, ensuring safety and quality programming.
2. Unit Size: Total number of active youth, with targets set to ensure sustainability (e.g., 20 for a Pack, 12 for a Troop).
3. Unit Growth: Year-to-year growth in membership, tracking new member recruitment and overall increase in youth count.
4. Advancement / Leadership: Percentage of youth members advancing in rank (or holding leadership positions in older youth programs) within the past 12 months.
5. Outdoor / Super Activity: Participation in at least one camping trip (for Troops) or outdoor event (for Packs) within the last 12 months, which is often manually entered.

Congrats to our top three from each den. Not photographed is one of our Bears who had to leave early for a baseball game, but there’s a picture of his car on his trophy. Everyone did a great job, had creative cars, and brought the SPEED…except our Safest driver, the turtle who left her speed at home. 🐢 Congrats to our most spirited scout. And finally, congrats to our top 3 racers who will move on to District Derby: 3rd Gavin, 2nd Benton, and 1st Jacob.

We’re proud of all of our scouts. Thank you to their parents and families who support and share the joy in their journeys. We’re a family and growing stronger every day.

Everyone loves an Outlaw race. What made this one amazing was the fact that our very own Cub Master’s car didn’t even cross the finish line three out of four times during the Outlaw heat. It was quite hilarious. Congrats to our top three Outlaws! It was fun watching you race!
