Our culture, even in the American church, continues to seek and execute ways to soften the Gospel and all of God’s Word and to make it less offensive, which is impossible and, frankly, unbiblical.

As long as churches continue to implement “seeker-sensitive” approaches to their ministry and to twist and alter God’s Word, the numbers and emotions may increase. Still, the number of actual Christians and spiritually maturing believers will decrease.

God’s Word is enough, and God’s Word is the Way, the Truth, and the Life; Christ Himself.

At Formed For Christ, you won't get goosebumps and entertainment. You will hear the Word of God and worship God through Prayer, Song, and Scripture.

No smoke or sensational gimmicks, or supposedly supernatural signs and wonders.

Nope. We point one another to Christ, our King. We are the King’s Own, and we prefer to praise, honor, and glorify Him above all other names.

Not man or man’s word, but Christ and His Word.

Join us on Sunday mornings at 9:30, and come to our weekly Bible study at 7:pm.

Formed For Christ Church helps people discover their identity in Christ and grow in their spiritual maturity to serve His Kingdom. Unfortunately, I was notified this morning that the property owner has agreed to lease the Broadway church property to someone else and not us.

I asked God to shut the door quickly, and it appears He has.

We remain encouraged and will continue to serve and seek God’s guidance in our next steps and where he leads. We will also continue to proclaim and protect God's word and His reputation.

It is very possible that who we are, what we believe, and what we proclaim may not align with those involved in the process.

However, we remain encouraged and convicted to keep walking out our faith in obedience to Christ and His commands. Not perfectly, but going in the right direction.

The door has remained open for the church in Broadway, NC. We are in negotiations with the property owner for an initial leasing agreement. We are asking for your prayers and support in the process.

We are stepping out in faith, and there is no way we can secure the lease or make the lease payments without God's blessing and your support.

The church is located at 211 S Main St, Broadway, NC, and is approximately 17 miles from our Wisdom Well shop in Cameron.

Our initial goal is to launch a cafe under Wisdom Well and launch Worship and other ministry services under Broadway Chapel, a Formed For Christ Church. We also plan to establish a Christian preschool program and make the church available for wedding ceremonies and ministry events with brothers and sisters in Christ.

This is a BIG step, but one we are trusting God and His Spirit to lead and guide us through.

We have exciting news about our next steps for Formed For Christ Church!

However, we are praying and leaving our next steps up to God to determine when and where we will move to a more permanent location.

With that said, please pray with us and share this with anyone who might be able to help, especially people willing to invest a significant amount of money as an offering in revitalizing an existing church location that dates back to 1945 in Broadway, NC.

These offerings would put life back into a beautiful church and enable the continuation of making disciples for Christ, giving all praise, honor, and glory to God and King Jesus!

At this point, no one has made an offer, and it is still available.

We have inquired about several possibilities. Considering that this beautiful church is located directly across from a school and close to Main Street, and knowing there are limited options in Broadway for a Christian-owned cafe, we would open a cafe on the premises (the side closest to the parking lot, which has a fellowship hall and a full kitchen).

This cafe would serve as an outreach ministry and help fund church operations and ministries by serving coffee and ice cream, tea parties, and Bible study resources. It would be a faith-based gathering place for the community.

Likewise, Melissa would focus on launching a preschool program, as Josh partners with local churches to launch the church plant, establish worship services, and other young adult/adult bible study courses and other valuable teachings for spiritual growth and maturity.

We would also allow like-minded, faith-based believers and partners to use the historic church location for weddings and other special-occasion ceremonies that adhere to biblical truth and values.

Please share and get the word out that Formed For Christ is looking for a permanent home where we can influence and make a big impact for the community in the name of Jesus Christ!

Our goal is to retain Well Coffee Shop & More operations at its current location in Cameron and continue our services, support, and outreach to the local community.
