1 Corinthians 1:27 says God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. Jeremiah 1:5 says before I formed you I knew you, before you were born I set you apart. He knew who He was calling when He called you. Your flaws did not surprise Him. Your past did not cancel the call.

So stop overthinking it. Stop rehearsing every reason why you can't. If God said do it, He already made a way for you to do it.

He knew who He was calling. Stop overthinking it. Go live for Jesus and do what He told you to do.

The Heart of Worship

I am certainly no expert at navigating grief, and my own faith often feels fragile when I face physical pain or loss. But reading the Gospel has taught me that God meets us right in the middle of our weakness with profound grace. He does not rush our healing, nor does He dismiss our tears as insignificant or lacking in faith. Instead, He invites us to lean our heavy hearts onto His steadfast love while we wait for the dawn of His new world.

Our salvation does not rest on our ability to maintain perfect confidence every moment of our lives. It rests on the perfect sacrifice of the One who has already accomplished our redemption.

Hebrews 7:25 tells us that Jesus is able to save completely those who draw near to God through Him, because He always lives to make intercession for them.

Completely.

Not partially.

Not temporarily.

Not until the next moment of weakness.

Completely.

Romans 8:28 tells us that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. It does not say all things are good. It does not say all things feel good. And it does not promise we will eventually understand every painful thing that happens. It says God works through all things according to His purpose. Even disappointment. Even closed doors. Even prayers answered differently than we wanted. Even years that appear wasted. Even plans that collapse.

Sometimes we may never understand why.

That is where trust actually becomes trust.

Our Assurance of Salvation

Lord,

I pray for those who are waiting for an answer, a breakthrough, or a new beginning. Give them strength while they wait and remind them that silence does not mean You have forgotten them.

Bring encouragement into their lives and help them recognize signs of hope along the way.

You may not know how the bills will be paid, what the doctor will say, where the next opportunity will come from, whether someone will stay, or exactly what your life will look like six months from now. But you know something greater than all of those unknowns. “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31 ESV). The cross settled forever where God stands toward you. He is not watching your life from a distance with crossed arms. In Christ, you have been brought into His family, covered by His grace, and surrounded by a love you did nothing to earn.
