Emma Creighton, an 8th grader at South Dorchester School is the winner of the Lions International Peace Poster Contest for District 22-B, comprised of clubs throughout the Eastern Shore of Maryland. The contest emphasizes the importance of world peace to young people everywhere. The theme was “Together As One”. Poster contest chair Anne Whaples presented Emma with her framed poster recently, after it was displayed at the annual District 22-B Social. The contest was held for Maces Lane Middle School and South Dorchester middle school grades. The local winner at MLMS was Ny’lah Taylor.

🐾 Cambridge Lions Club Update! 🦁

Several of our members attended the annual Leader Dog Fundraiser Dinner, supporting the incredible work Leader Dogs for the Blind does for people in need of independence and mobility.

A special highlight of the evening was seeing Lion Debbie and her amazing Leader Dog, Annie, proudly representing our club! 💛🐶

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support such a meaningful cause and celebrate the life‑changing impact of Leader Dogs.

Long-time Lion Kenny Thomas was presented with a 60-year membership chevron by Cambridge Lions President Mike Wheatley at a recent meeting. This week, District Governor Beth and her Cabinet were hosted by the Cambridge Lions Club, joined by members from the Trappe Lions. A number of awards were presented to members of both the Cambridge and Trappe Clubs during the enjoyable evening of fellowship.

This marks our 15th year of Shop with a Cop, a program that has achieved remarkable success over the years. The program's impact would not be possible without the support of our community, which has enabled us to bring joy to numerous children. Today, we extend our gratitude to the Cambridge Lions Club for their generous donation, which will further support our program. It is truly gratifying to witness local organizations demonstrating their commitment to the community.
