Lake Hopatcong is in the books for another year. Saturday was pretty uneventful without any incidents. Sunday on the other hand was a different story. First we had a SE barrel roll ejecting the driver. Driver was ok. Second in the Skiff B Final one of the skiffs wung out and struck another one. The driver and rider in the first skiff reported no injuries. The driver and rider in the second skiff struck their heads together and one was injured. We transported both to shore and one was transported to a local hospital for treatment. We had not heard an update by the time we left. We saw some excellent deck to deck action in the Y class with the Y-40 and Y-80 putting on a show. In one heat they both tied for first place and in another, the Y40 edged out the Y80 by 100th of a second for the win. Both Kyle Hayes and Reid Melowic put on a great show for the fans. Congratulations to Reid for a clean sweep of the weekend with 4 first place finishes.

Day 1 of the Cambridge Classic saw the S50 going over in turn 2. Driver and boat were ok. He actually came back out in the second half of the day and won his heat.
Day 2 however is not looking good with high winds so we will see how it goes.

First race of the season is in the books. Great weekend with no incidents. Just a lot of boats breaking down.

Could be an interesting weekend in Hampton at the Summer Nationals.

Well where do we start? What a wild ending to the New Jersey State Governor’s Cup. Saturday was a great uneventful day of racing. Sunday however was a bit more challenging. Starting with the Y-54 barrel rolling. Then the S-341 went over in the S Final. During the rerun the S-17 took a violent hook and told his radio person he was injured so we went over to him and found that he was also taking on water so we towed him in while treating him in his boat until we could get him to shore and treat him without the possibility of his boat sinking. In the Skiff A Final we had a 3 boat collision coming around for the start with the JS-35, JS-22, and JS-991. The JS-35 was already sunk when we arrived so we pulled the driver and rider out and Rescue 2 transported them into the pits for evaluation. The 22 was taking on water so they were quickly towed in and the rider of it was transported to the hospital for a hand injury. The driver and rider of the 991 were on their boat uninjured boat the boat was quickly taking on water. We were attempting to quickly get an air bag on it to keep it from going completely down but it went down to quick. Divers used airbags to raise both boats and after about an hour of work they were towed back to the pits. The driver of the S-17 was evaluated by EMS and after some time he was not transported. It was a long day but everyone went home got to go home. After extensive cleanup and getting everything back together, we were able to leave around 9pm. Thanks for everyone’s help with cleanup. See you next week in Hampton, VA.

Day 2 of the Cambridge Classic saw 2 flips. One in the F2500 class and one in the H350 class. Both drivers were ok. Phot...
