Reminder for today, please park at the Callahan Elementary School and walk over if possible. The church grounds are very wet!

Important Update:

Due to the weather the cruise together to Hardee’s after the service has been postponed. With the current weather we are unable to get Jim’s car out of his shop, so we will be doing a cruise at a later date. However, the celebration of life is still on at 2PM! The Mangold family would greatly appreciate the love and support for this event, and invite all who are coming to have food and fellowship at the church following the service. You may need to park at Callahan Elementary School due to the church grounds being so soft right now. Please still wear your rod run shirts or any car shirt you may have as we celebrate Jim’s life.

Thank you to The Nassau County Record for doing this article on James Mangold.

Hello everybody, please join us on Saturday, October 10th at 2pm to celebrate James Mangold’s life at the Callahan Methodist Church (location of the Memorial Day Rod Run). After the service we are asking that you please bring your hot rods and cruise with us to the Hardee’s cruise in where we will give Jim his final ride to a car show. The family requests those attending the celebration to wear any Memorial Day Rod Run shirts that you may have, or casual clothes if you don’t have one.

In lieu of flowers Jim’s family requests that donations be made in his name, designated for the electric sign fund at the Callahan Methodist Church.

It is with a heavy heart that we share that a beloved supporter and dear friend of the Memorial Day Rod Run staff has went home to be with the lord.

Donna was a devoted supporter of our show and became so much more than just a familiar face. She was a true friend to our staff, always checking on us, asking how we were doing, and most importantly, asking how she could pray for us. Her kindness, selflessness, and genuine love for others were evident in everything she did.

Donna continually put others before herself, and her presence brought so much warmth and love wherever she went. She will be deeply missed at our show, as well as at the many other shows she loved attending.

While our hearts are heavy, we are thankful for the time we were blessed to know Donna and for the memories she leaves behind. We remind ourselves that although Donna is no longer with us, she has been healed and made whole.

Please keep her loving husband and family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this difficult time. May they find comfort in the love surrounding them and in knowing just how many lives Donna touched.

Rest peacefully, Donna. You will forever have a place in our Memorial Day Rod Run family. ❤️

On behalf of the Memorial Day Rod Run team, we are sad to share the news that one of our founders, James Mangold, went home to be with our Lord in the early morning hours of September 12th. He fought so hard and this isn’t a loss, he won- he’s home, whole, and preparing a place for all of us. Please keep his wonderful wife, Cheryl Mangold in your prayers and the entire Mangold family during this time. 🤍

*Extra note*
During his final hours here on this earth, (in true hot rod fashion) he was discussing cars and going to a car show🏁
