One firefighter’s welcome home after a 24-hour shift included a pretty memorable surprise from his wife Alyana: Ivy the dog! 💚

Adopted from JHS, Ivy became a new member of the family, and her adopter describes her as a calm, sweet girl who loves cuddles, toys, and meeting people.

When asked what she wished people knew about adopting a big dog, Ivy’s adopter put it simply: “Size doesn’t make up a dog’s personality.”

That’s why we’re sharing stories like hers through Go Big. Go Home Together. Spending time with a dog gives you a chance to learn who they are and what life together could look like.
