💜🐾 Nigel Update 🐾💜

Our sweet Nigel is still fighting severe IBD. He currently weighs just 35.3 pounds, and unfortunately, we haven’t seen the weight gain we’re hoping for yet.

Dr. Walker told us it could take up to three months to see real improvement, so for now we keep going — one day at a time. 💜

Nigel’s medication and specialized diet alone cost nearly $200 every month, before his other medications, bloodwork, rechecks, and veterinary care.

We made Dr. Davis a promise that her babies would always be cared for. Since then, BDAF’s mission has grown to help other animals and families in need — but Dr. Davis’s animals remain the cornerstone of that promise.

Your donations and shares allow us to keep that promise while continuing to help others.

💜🐾 Nigel Update 🐾💜

Yesterday, Nigel met with Dr. Walker at Nassau Veterinary Specialists. After reviewing everything, we learned that Nigel is dealing with a severe case of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).

Nigel has started a new treatment plan, but Dr. Walker explained that it may take up to three months before we begin to see improvement. So our sweet boy still has a long road ahead. 💜

As one of BDAF’s legacy animals, we will continue supporting Nigel financially through his medications, recheck bloodwork, specialized food, and whatever else he may need along the way.
