Calera parents and students!
Tomorrow night, May 4th, at 6:30pm, we will be sharing a new video with an anti-bullying message at the Calera City Council meeting. The video was produced by our CASE program using the talent and creativity of our high school students.
Please come tomorrow night or watch the livestream. The video will be posted on the Calera Accountability and Success through Education page.
βThis, along with the anti-bullying classes we teach through the CASE program to all our fifth graders, demonstrates just how seriously we take this problem,"
βWe see so many kids around our country committing su***de, turning to drugs, suffering from depression, or running away to escape pain in their lives that can often be traced to bullying.β
βParents, school staff, law enforcement, and students all need to acknowledge this and do what we can to deal with it. Education and awareness come first, then acknowledgement and intervention. Pretending it's not a problem in our schools doesn't work.β- Chief Hyche
