This past weekend was a blessing not only did bless kids at our 2nd Back to School Drive of the year; we were able to provide school supplies and backpacks Sunday to The Birmingham Police Athletic Team! We also sent school supplies today down to kids in Perry County.

What a very successful weekend two days and two Back to School Drives in the book. Thanks to Chief Micheal Pickett and his staff at The Birmingham Police Department, Alabama for allowing us to come out today and provide Backpacks and School Supplies to the kids that were part of their Birmingham Police Athletics Team Outing at Marquee Oasis in Calera. It was a blessing to see the smiles on these kids faces as well as to watch how the Birmingham Police Department took such a keen interest in these kids. I can tell they had a blast! We were just blessed to be able to make their day a bigger success!

We really enjoyed serving hundreds of parents and kids Saturday at our Back to School Drive. Especially thanks to Kathy Sciarrotta for bringing out her Ice Cream Truck and serving the kids free Ice Cream all day. Also a special thanks to the current college athletes and former players of Southern Xpress 7on7 Football Page for coming out to give their time with the kids

A special thank you to current Baltimore Ravens DB Marlon Humphrey for being so generous and allowing us to host the event at his Marquee Oasis Event Center in Calera, Alabama. Thanks to the City of Calera for allowing us time to share information about the event at their City Council meeting. Thanks to Sheldon Haygood WBRC Jeh Jeh Pruitt WBRC and WBRC FOX6 News for always allowing us time to share the event in the studios. Last but definitely not least thanks to all the volunteers and those that made donations to make this event a success. We couldn’t have done it without any of you!!

Just a quick update for Saturday. Due to the threat of rain we have moved the event indoors to Marquee Oasis in Calera. We also changed the time to 9am to 1pm. We look forward to seeing you Saturday for the Back to School Bash!!

Good morning, we are pleased to provide an update: the 77 Kids Foundation is proud to present 'BD Loves The Kids' Back to School Bash, scheduled in three weeks. This year's event has garnered an extraordinary response and support. The occasion will not only focus on charitable giving but also feature exciting prize opportunities, including TVs, co****le sets, gas cards, gift cards from prominent Birmingham Metro Area restaurants, a hotel stay for parents, and several other prizes. Additionally, the event will offer bounce houses for children, a variety of food options such as hot dogs, loaded nachos, loaded fries, candy, and beverages. This promises to be an enjoyable day for the entire family. Furthermore, gamers will have the chance to compete against favorite college football players from institutions like Bama, UAB, Samford, Miles College, and West Alabama while testing their skills on the new NCAA 27 game. For ease of registration, we are attaching a Google doc, as some individuals may encounter difficulties scanning the QR code. It is mandatory for everyone to pre-register, and children must be accompanied by their parents. Parents without children will not be allowed to participate. Also there is no drop off allowed in the park. All kids 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult!!
