IT’s BACK!! 😆 Registration is now open for the global, Online OCD Conference happening Saturday, November 7 & Sunday, November 8, 2026! We are kicking registration off with our Super Early Bird - discounted prices, the lowest registration costs we will offer!

We are so pleased to announce that we have added a Young Adult track and a Kids track to our conference this year!

Following the Keynote presentation, the conference sessions will begin. The conference is two days filled with over 56 different panel presentations led by some of the top OCD experts, researchers, psychiatrists, advocates, and people impacted by OCD.

We also have evening activities, including community discussion groups, an “Ask the Experts” call-in show, an activity for kids as well as a Young Adult event.

We will wrap up the conference with an “Ask the Experts” Q&A panel and an opportunity drawing for prizes.

Our Super Early Bird registration is from August 1 - August 31. This is our lowest cost registration at only $20 per person for admission to this two-day event.

For professionals (psychologists, LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) seeking continuing education credits, we’re offering 8.75 CEs during early bird registration for only $50. This covers your CEs and attendance.

Free, virtual Family & Loved Ones’ OCD Support Group this Saturday, August 8th!

Topics: (1) The Do’s & Don’ts of Supporting a Loved One with OCD & (2) Common Co-Occurring Disorders Comorbid with OCD!

We are excited that Nathan Peterson, LCSW, Michelle Massi, LMFT, Dr. Rebecca Sachs & Dr. Christina DiChiara are joining co-facilitators Liz Trondsen and Chris Trondsen, LMFT, for the August 8th, 11-1pm PT group!

The group is open to family members, spouses, siblings, loved ones, friends, romantic partners & anyone supporting someone with OCD. People with OCD and clinicians can join too!

We’ll be discussing depression, autism, PTSD, trauma and their intersection with OCD! And the top “do’s and don’ts of offering OCD support.

Hey everyone! You are invited to one of our “One Million Steps for OCD” walks! 👟 This walk as an incredible opportunity to bring awareness to OCD and connect with the community!

Event: Santa Clarita OCD Walk & Community Awareness Event

This walk is in its 6th year, and this free, fun, family-friendly event will feature OCD success stories, interactive activities, educational resources and a ¾ mile walk in support of IOCDF’s “One Million Steps for OCD.” All are welcome!

DATE CHANGE! Chris Trondsen, one of the group’s facilitators, will be at the annual International OCD Foundation conference July 9-12th in Seattle (https://iocdf.org/ocdcon). That falls on the 2nd Saturday of the month, the day we typically hold the group. Therefore, the Family and Loved Ones OCD Support Group will meet on the THIRD Saturday in July, on July 18 at 11:00 AM PT.

We will return to our regular schedule in August. Our August meeting will be held on the 2nd Saturday of the month, August 8, 2026.

Dispelling Myths: What Effective CBT / ERP for OCD SHOULD Look Like & the 8 Most Common Reasons It May Fail! – Chris Trondsen, LMFT and Kimberley Quinlan, LMFT

This talk will focus on two topics. The first is an overview of what everyone should expect and receive when engaging in frontline OCD treatments. We will lay out a clear trajectory of what top-notch OCD treatment should look like from start to finish and how to ensure that you are receiving adequate care. The information in this presentation is relevant whether you are new to a diagnosis and starting to seek out care, or you have been in consistent OCD treatment for some time!

The second topic is identifying eight potential roadblocks you may be encountering, even if you are in the right treatment. These roadblocks include inadequate clinician pacing, meaning rushing a client into exposures prematurely and aggressively. Another is sessions turning into talk therapy with no active exposure during the treatment session. We will discuss these and six additional roadblocks we often see that lead to recurring errors in treatment and offer solutions.

The aim of this talk is to have audience members leave with a crystal-clear understanding of what proper OCD treatment looks like, solutions for common pitfalls, and increased knowledge on how one gets better from OCD treatment. This will address the age-old complaint that “OCD treatment did not work for me.”

The annual International OCD Foundation (International OCD Foundation) conference is this week, starting on Thursday, July 9 and concludes Sunday, July 12!

Please note that the annual IOCDF conference the year is a hybrid event. Some of the presentations will be available virtually during the conference. In addition, registration provides access to the virtual presentations for 90 days.

Virtual attendance registration is still available and will remain open throughout the Conference weekend. You can also still register on-site in Seattle for the conference and join us in person!
