The 2026 Ohio 4-H Achievement Awards were presented earlier this month at the Nationwide & Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center in Columbus. Campbell Reese from Geauga County received the Ohio Township Association Local Government Award.

Campbell Reese is a 12‑year Ohio 4‑H member from Geauga County and has exhibited Horned Dorset sheep, poultry, cattle, market hogs, and a variety of miscellaneous projects. She serves as vice president of leadership for the Ohio 4‑H Teen Leadership Council, is a Junior Fair Board member, organizer of the first Ohio 4-H Wargame, and the Geauga County Junior Fair Queen. She will attend The Ohio State University to study agribusiness and applied economics this fall and is the daughter of Bill and Kristen Patterson and Matt Reese.

The Ohio Township Association Local Government Awards are presented to honorees based on the demonstrated impact a local government activity has had on community, township, or county. The evening was hosted by the Ohio 4-H Foundation, with 33 youth receiving 2026 honors.

Each year, two campers in their last year are selected as “Counselors for a Day”. They spend their last day at camp experiencing what it’s like to be a counselor. This year’s “Counselors for a Day” are Bradley and Brooke.
