Buckhannon Community Theatre proudly invites you to audition for Agatha Christie’s magnum opus, Murder On The Orient Express! 🚂

The most culturally and globally significant of Agatha Christie’s mysteries, the case of Murder On The Orient Express follows world renowned detective Hercule Poirot as he faces his ultimate challenge. The Queen of Crime’s masterpiece remains a peak achievement of the Golden Age of Detective Fiction, and now you can help us bring it to life right here in Buckhannon!

Performance dates: Oct 29-30 7PM, Oct 31st 9PM, November 1st 2PM

Must be at least 15 years old to audition.

To audition, come prepared with two monologues (please pick monologues from two different characters) from the provided options here. Memorizing your monologues is not required. Do try your best with the accents.

Calling All Student Theatre Artists!

Are you an incoming 9th–12th grade student in the Buckhannon-Upshur area with a passion for theatre? Whether you love being onstage or prefer the magic that happens behind the scenes, we’d love to meet you!

Join us Sunday, August 16th from 3:30–5:00 PM in the upstairs Black Box Theater at the Colonial Arts Center in Buckhannon for an interest session introducing students to the Educational Theatre Association, the West Virginia Thespian Society, and the VTC Thespian Troupe 12610.

Students will have the opportunity to learn how the VTC Thespian Troupe offers them the opportunity to hone their interests, develop their craft, and grow as theatre artists in performance and technical theatre with the support of professional mentors.

As a member of a Thespian Troupe students can develop projects that are adjudicated at multiple levels, connect with theatre professionals and educators, and explore college and scholarship opportunities in the performing arts.

And there’s a bonus! All in attendance will receive a FREE ticket to see the Rustic Mechanicals perform THE TAMING OF THE SHREW that evening at 7:00p at the Colonial Arts Center!

Hosted by Buckhannon Community Theatre, the Vintage Theatre Company, and the Rustic Mechanicals.
