June 29th Washington DC.


The last few years have been phenomenal for the PPC in West Virginia as well as on the National Level. We pushed Manchin to vote for The Build Back Better act, the inflation reduction act, and other legislation that he initially opposed. On the state level our work has led to the arrest of several corrections officers for homicide in connection to the murder of inmates in the regional jail system. Last week the WV PPC sent a contingent to meet with US Attorney General to further address the murders being committed or permitted by Jail and prison staff, and others impacting our state that involve state employees and elected officials.

Thank you for considering joining us in DC, and even if you can't make it to DC we are building our coalition in WV and need people who want to be involved at whatever level they choose from participating on the coordinating committe to attending events whenever they are available.

We are Making Final arrangements for The Poor People's Campaign Rally in DC on June 29th.
If anyone wants to go on the bus I need the following info:

5. Location where they want to catch the bus either Beckley or Buckhannon ( I won't know until tonight but there may be a stop in Charleston also)

If anyone is bringing kids I will need their names too so we can make sure they have seats.
