A letter from our new Music Director, Sebastian Grand...

Dear BAO Members,

I am so thrilled to be taking on the role of Music Director with the Bryn Athyn Orchestra - thank you for the many messages of congratulations and good will. This orchestra has an extraordinary legacy and I feel a deep sense of responsibility to lead the orchestra into its next phase with the same vibrancy and musical sincerity. I am confident that we can look forward to many musically fulfilling years to come.

Preparations for next season are well underway, and we have a very exciting program to look forward to. Our November concert features Borodin's Symphony no. 2, Rachmaninoff's Second Piano Concerto, and the Russian Easter Festival Overture by Rimsky-Korsakov.

Other highlights of the upcoming season include Elizabeth Pitcairn performing Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in March and a program of British masterpieces in May.

I am so excited to celebrate the orchestra's 100th season with you all! I very much look forward to getting to know you all throughout next season!

Warm regards,
Sebastian Grand
