Congratulations to the team from Tamarac High School on winning the second Rensselaer County School Trap Championship with a narrow win over Berlin High School on Sunday.
The win on Sunday is the second exceptional performance by Tamarac, which placed second in a statewide contest just hours before the county contest.
Thanks also to teams from Lansingburgh, Maple Hill and Hoosick Falls for competing, and thanks also to the team at North Troy Stag Rod & Gun Club for their support and hosting the tournament. Rensselaer County and County Executive Steve McLaughlin sponsored the event.
We are already looking forward to next year! More pictures to come.

What a weekend - 1st place in the Rensselaer Country Trap Tournament! Looking forward to seeing that trophy in the Tamarac case. A great end to a great season with a great group of kids. See you in the fall!

Over 120 high school teams featuring more than 1,500 student-athletes are participating in the New York Trap Shooting Tournament.

We had a great season:
Braden: All State
Hunter: All State, 3rd in Conference, 25 straight at States
Josie: #1 Female in conference

And today , every team member showed up and gave it their best. Today was a TEAM WIN.

Congratulations to our athletes who performed with focus and determination in one of the toughest sports. Well done.
