He has risen! Happy Easter. Here's a reminder that we're back to our regular schedule of Tuesdays and Thursdays for the after school program from 2:45 to 5 and the "SMORE" program on Thursdays from 5 to 6:30.... and a few pictures of our "Marshmallow pitch" contest on the 24th...

We had a rare event at TP4T last week. A GUY won the burping contest! No kidding! In my 30+ years of doing YFC events, guys have only won it a couple of times! Don’t ask me why. Here are some pictures and a vid of the winning burp! Don’t forget that we’re closed until school spring break is over. Then, come and join us on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45 to 5 for the after school program, then stick around from 5 to 6:30 for “SMORE”, where we talk more about “God Stuff”.

We’re going to have to cancel “Smore” this Thursday (from 5 to 6:30pm.) It’s an unfortunate law of physics that a person cannot be in two places at one time. We haven’t found a way around it yet. We’ll be back on schedule next Thursday.

HOW ABOUT “SMORE”? Some of our students have asked for more. More “Jesus stuff”. Some worship songs. Some lessons. Maybe a movie night. We’ll talk about God and what the Bible says. Josiah will bring his guitar. Roger and Steve will bring their hundreds of years of experience and their good looks. We’ll probably actually make SMORES to get things started. It’ll be on Thursdays after the “after school program”. We’ll go from 5pm to 6:30, and see how it all comes together. Come and join us!

Last Thursday the game was “MUSICAL ONION”- Kinda like “Hot Potato”, except that, if you had the onion when the music stopped, you got to TAKE A BITE! Even staff was not immune from the wrath of the timer. (We used a separate onion for the biting!) Hope to see everyone on Thursday the 29th. (School is closed this Tuesday for a calamity day!)

The beginning of something great

“That Place”, a new teen ministry center opening in the Brunswick Plaza across from Visintainer and Edwards middle schools opened its doors to teens and their families on October 24, 2019. The center has been a dream of several people in the city, including members of Faithwalk Church and Northern Ohio Youth for Christ.The seed money for this new youth center was provided by FaithWalk Church. In partnership with Youth For Christ of Northern Ohio, it is FaithWalk’s goal to partner with other Brunswick area churches and businesses to provide an inter– denominational Christian youth center, with one mission- to meet the unique needs of teens and their families by sharing the love of Christ in tangible ways and making a positive difference in our community.

Youth for Christ will handle operation, including volunteer background checks. As a Christian inter-denominational facility, the idea is that local churches and businesses will partner in its operation and use the facility to augment their own teen programs making That Place the place for resources focused on the needs of teens and their families.
