Browntown History!
Flash Flooding of June 27, 1995. Here is what The Buck Mountain Bridge looked like right after the flood. This bridge was built in the very early 20th century, by George Poe, who also built the bridge in Browntown, which is nearly identical. In any event a new, wider bridge was being built, when the flood hit. A crane which was doing the heavy lifting, on the construction, can not be seen in this photo as the high water knocked it over.
