ATTENTION LOCAL BUSINESSES: Looking for a way to support local youth while receiving assistance with summer payroll costs?
Linn County’s First-Time Employment Youth Wage Grant Program is back for 2026. Eligible businesses with 35 or fewer employees can receive a $ 4-per-hour reimbursement for hiring first-time youth employees ages 14–19 between now and Sept. 30.
Several Brownsville-area businesses have participated in the program in past years, including Dr. Kirt M Glenn, DMD and Randy's Main Street Coffee
The program is a great way to:
✅ Provide valuable first-job experience to local teens
✅ Build your future workforce
✅ Receive reimbursement for part of your payroll costs
✅ Strengthen our local community
Businesses may receive up to $6,000 in reimbursement and can hire up to three qualifying youth employees at one time.
Interested in participating? Visit www.co.linn.or.us or contact the Linn County Board of Commissioners at 541-967-3825 for application information.
