HOME AT LAST ❤️💛💙
Nearly 20 amazing volunteers - new and seasoned alike - showed up for our Home at Last serve day on Saturday.

They helped a St. Martin Parish storm survivor finally get settled back in her home—two years after a tornado damaged it. From moving and unpacking boxes to cleaning, organizing, painting, removing an old wheelchair ramp, and even getting her A/C back up and running, our volunteers were truly the hands and feet of Jesus for her.

To all who sacrificed to make Saturday happen: thank you. This is what loving Acadiana looks like. 🫶

Shoutout to the committed volunteers who serve foster children they may never meet face to face. 🤍 They regularly clean and organize the DCFS spaces where children have visitations with their families, helping create a comfortable environment in the midst of challenging circumstances. They also take time to pray for the children, families and workers who will enter those spaces. Not everyone can foster, but we can all do something to support foster children and families in our community.

We had to stop between Avoyelles Parish flood response and Serve Day to share this big news!

We’ve been given a $75,000 matching grant to help us bring hope and help to the community in Jesus’ Name. So now through September 30, your donations will be doubled up to $75k!

That means double the impact for disaster survivors, foster children, schools and more.

Happy 4th of July from all of us at Love Acadiana! 🇺🇸 As we celebrate America’s 250th, we thank God for the freedoms we have in this country and those who have sacrificed for it. 🇺🇸

We are especially grateful that our ultimate freedom was paid for by Jesus Christ, who motivates our work to continue serving others. Let freedom ring!

While the floodwaters have receded, the recovery effort in Avoyelles and St. Landry Parishes is far from over.

Hundreds of families are in need of help after Tropical Storm Arthur. The next few weeks are critical. Every additional volunteer helps another family take the first step toward recovery.
