I set aside some time to ask our teachers three questions during the 2026 camp: 1) who are some mentors that were important to you and why?

Gene Bertoncini, an esteemed jazz guitarist, composer, arranger and educator, died Aug. 29 at the Lillian Booth Actors Home assisted living center in Englewood, New Jersey. He was 89. His death was confirmed by his niece, Nina Collins, who…

I wonder if there are any guitarists out there, even ones that I know, who are not coming to the Guitar camp this year because they feel that they either can't afford it or are overqualified to attend. Let me just say that I think any guitarist at any level could benefit from being there. I would be there in a second if I wasn't running the thing! And we do have a last minute infusion of scholarship money. I welcome any friends, and those unknown to me, who may already be great players to partake in this. Make it a big party.

Welcome to year nine of the most unusual, forward thinking, open-minded all-inclusive guitar camp on the planet. Join Kurt Rosenwinkel, Matteo Mancuso, Gilad Hekselman, Ben Monder, Oz Noy, Cecil Alexander, Anthony Pirog, Kaki King, Joel Harrison and more for an all-inclusive week in the Catskills!
